The hotel features several interconnected sections: the hotel and accommodation wings, a small museum showcasing its history and its role in conquering the Black Cuillin mountains behind it, the restaurant and residents' lounge, the Cuillin Brewery, and Seamus' Bar. The grounds are well-maintained, with gardens shaded by trees and a play area equipped with a zip slide for kids aged 16 and under only.

Great hotel what Skye's all about. This hotel is right alongside the famous pack horse bridge that seems to appear on every advert for Skye. The views all round are incredible (Weather depending and any outdoorsy type person will relish the position of the Hotel at the foothills of the Cuillins. The locals sit outside and laugh at all the walkers heading off with Compass' round their necks! (type Gabbro into Google if you're not sure why! If you gancy a stroll, try and run from the hotel up to the top of Glamaig and back in under 45 mins if you do you'll be a record breaker! (Glamaig is the cone shaped mountain next to the Loch . Or you could do it barefoot and try and beat the 55min record...
The Sligachan hotel is one of my favourite places in the world and I have spent many an hour here whiling away the evenings (and afternoons! . They now have their own brewery called the Cuillin Brewery (I think that has 3 or 4 brands all of which are highly drinkable. The food has always been first rate and is probably better than you would expect from a pub on Skye! Walking in after 8 hours on and around the Ridge is an unparalleled experience and I urge everyone to get up there. But the ridge is a very serious place and should not be taken lightly, I only go up with my dad because he has 40 years of experience!
Great food, great beer, great views what more do I need to say? The location is stunning right in the heart of the Cuillins. Campsite and hotel, with bar food and good beer brewed on the premises. It can get very busy in the summer, but the service is still good and reasonably quick (very important if you have kids). The campsite associated with the hotel can be quite 'midgy ' but then again where in Scotland can 't be in summer? but you can spend the evening in the bar avoiding the midgies and partaking of a few local beers or whiskies. Mmmm.

Lovely hotel. Nice atmosphere in the bar. Very spacious. Staff are friendly and proffesional Very child friendly and a playpark over the drive ;o) Superb location for touring the island or walking/climbing. You can get dropped/picked up here on the buses from Glasgow and Inverness. Nice place for a spot of lunch and a few drinks. The backdrop to the hotel is spectacular. Wherever you head to in skye you'll pass this hotel, you cant miss it! x
Superb location on the bend of the A87 road, with a stunning backdrop of the Cuillin. The Glasgow Inverness to Uig Citylink buses stop here. Nice place for a spot of lunch and a few drinks, or stay for a few days at the campsite over the road, which is also excellent. The food and ale is excellent, and tastes even better after a full day of walking. Monty Hall's great escape featured the hotel when he took part in the Glamaig run.
This is a great spot as a starting point for hikers and mountain climbers and it's a historic location . It's a bit pricey for the accommodations compared with everywhere else we stayed on our Scotland vacation, maybe because of the remote location. The wifi rarely worked, the staff was very nice, the brewery next door is a huge bonus.
I enjoyed a delightful vegetarian Sunday roast at the Sligachan Hotel, in its cozy yet inviting pub area where both locals and tourists come together. They even prepared a special vegetarian gravy just for me. The staff were fantastic, the prices were reasonable, and the food was delicious, all set in a wonderful atmosphere!
