We’ve had the blessing of staying at several very special hotels during our travels and Cuillin Hills now joins that list. From being in a beautiful location to having a warm and inviting ambiance, this place is beyond lovely. Everything was tastefully done- decorating, garden, meals. What stood out as remarkably special though was the staff. They treated you as if they “saw” you as a person and were very happy to help in any way. The hotel always has a vegan menu. It is not always what is noticed here, but you can search it on their website. The starter didn't appeal to me, but I tried both main and deserts. The Polnta was very nice, but the Gnocchi was a pretty embarrassing one. The deserts were both really nice. But I was left hungry because the portions are tiny - and there are no sides to order dishes. I'm sorry not to mention it because a guy asked behind me and they did some chips to him. I appreciate fancier sites often do smaller portions, but I shouldn't be hungry for a role and two courses. The point of sale of this place is really the view. The restaurant always offers a vegan menu, which may not always be visible in person but can be found on their website. While the starter was not memorable, the main courses (polenta and gnocchi) were enjoyable. However, the portions were on the smaller side, and there was no option to order more. I observed another customer receiving chips upon request, which left me regretting not asking for something to supplement my meal. The highlight of dining here is the stunning view, as the tables are strategically placed for everyone to enjoy it.
The restaurant offers a beautiful view, excellent staff, and exceptional customer service. The rooms are nicely decorated and the common areas are inviting. It is a great place to start and end a tour from. The staff efficiently handled any professional issues, provided helpful tour and transportation advice, and were pleasant to interact with. The food was delicious and expertly prepared. The restaurant, complete with a bar menu and views of the harbor, is truly outstanding.

perfection in portree! the most beautiful hotel, with the most attentive and accommodating staff. From check-in to check-out we feel like the only guests. Eating was simply the best presented with every meal as if we were in a Michelin star restaurant. the complex is simply stunning and relaxing with tee (or a cocktail) in the lounge at the kamin while they look over the bay is a favorite memory. I plan a trip back with a longer stay!
As previously mentioned, the restaurant offers a separate menu for vegan and vegetarian options. I tried the salt baked celeriac and found it to be absolutely delicious. Contrary to some other reviews, I thought the portion size was normal. For dessert, I had the banoffee pie. The views at the restaurant were fantastic and the service was excellent.
we had a wonderful stay here. the location is nicely quiet, but also only 7 minutes slow to foot in the city to dinner. we dimmed one night in the hotel and I would like to have eaten every night there! the rooms are well equipped, beds were comfortable, and the staff was friendly and professional. highly recommended.
I loved this place. bed was comfortable, large bed linen and kiss. the bar down had big people working and made really good drinks (best margarita I had in Scotland) that dessert: sticky toffee pudding with ice was top notch. I had no problem. it was a great place to stay.

This lovely hotel offers a vegan menu. I highly recommend talking to them about breakfast and letting them get creative - I was pleasantly surprised by some amazing dishes! The staff are very helpful and make an effort to understand vegan cuisine.
