Cul de Poule - Tisch reservieren

We noticed on the (blackboard) menu that the type of small clam, called “patagos” were available as a main course – apparently they come only from l’île d’Yeu – so naturally we had to give them a try. They were served in a parsley and garlic sauce, quite tasty. We understood that they had arrived that day, and when we walked by the restaurant the next day they had been crossed off the menu, so this is a place one should check out several times a week, for new arrivals! We had a lovely evening meal in the outdoor seating area of this restaurant recently. Reservations are highly recommended as it tends to be fully booked especially when the town is packed with visitors in the summer. The service was friendly and efficient. The food was very good although at least one dish, a tuna appetizer, was pretty bland and uninspiring. There several classic cocktails and a limited selection of wine, mostly reasonably priced local wines. We had a nice talk with the chef at the end of the meal, which enhanced the quality of the visit.

A brilliant restaurant,we eat here very frequently, regarding it as the very best restaurant in La Faute.The meals are innovative and far from ordinary. I am especially fond of the Salmon Tartare Hawaiian Sunset, and the Grilled Octopus,served with tiny new potatoes.And leave q space for the Caramel Tiramisu

La Cul du Poule was a great restaurant. We found out that it’s a husband and wife duo. They’re so passionate about what they do and I shows in their cooking and in their service. The food was delicious and the service was quick, efficient and thoughtful. We’d definitely go back again!

I have been going to La Faute for many, many years and have never tasted such a good entrecôte. The best in the region. Tasty and tender, absolutely delicious! Consistently good quality good, friendly service and a fun interior. You won't be dissapointed. A reason to go to La Faute!
