I had the opportunity to meet and engage with two of the most delightful, insightful, helpful ladies this morning. This place has a vibe! Nostalgic, warm, friendly, welcoming. Love the wooden booths and displays in the store, signage reminiscent of a holiday story set from a Lifetime movie, and the greeting first thing when walking in. Two helpful women Patti and Chelsea- Hope I spelled their names correctly guided me through the coffee selection and edible delights The conversation with these beautiful ladies was fantastic! Hands down, THE BEST coffee shop IN THIS GALAXY! Perfected coffee, outstanding teas/selection of teas, chocolates so delectable that you could try something new on each visit and still be convinced that what you are having at that moment MUST be the best item in the shop, only to have it blown away on your next visit. Absolutely astounding on every level. The coffee beans and selection of flavors is beyond impressive and is literally the best coffee beans I have ever experienced! I was brought to this candy shop by a local friend of mine. We all got hot chocolates and I bought some 1/2 priced pastries. All of them were so good. As we were leaving I decided to get a bag of assorted chocolates, against my wife’s wishes. I was later vindicated because everything in that bag was so delicious. The consensus favorite of my wife and I was the chocolate dipped graham cracker. The old wooden booths are so cool, and should be saved for all time at all costs. Such a cool shop. This historic candy shop on Main Street in Butler has been family owned and operated for over 110 years, with the coffee business added in the late 1990 's. The decor of the main location (there are several satellite stores around the area) features the original booths and counters from early in the shop 's history, which provides a very old-school soda shop vibe. The baristas are very friendly and the drinks they make are among the tastiest and most creative caffeinated beverages in the area. Walked in today and noticed a girl behind the counter glaring at me. I then said “hello” and she said nothing back. I immediately walked out. After walking out, I saw that they were close to closing, but she could have at least treated me decently. I totally would have understood if no more orders could be taken. Absolutely awful customer service and I won’t be returning
Old candy store and soda fountain owned by 3rd generation son Barry and now a coffee house/soda fountain. Some candy still available (I so miss the marzipan), no food available apart from scones and biscotti, but you'll love this place. Original marble counter and tables with original wooden banquettes.
This place is the best spot in Butler. Fresh coffee and amazing original details. The red and white awning draws you inside. The tin ceiling and wood booth seating is a perfect backdrop for a date or place to read. Love this place!
Have known the Cummings family and shopped there for over 50 years. Barry is doing a great job and their hand dipped chocolates are outstanding at a fair price. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
