This restaurant closed several months ago, and I'm not exactly sure why. The food was good, but it lacked the consistency you would typically find at Taste of India (which I believe is a chain). The atmosphere felt a bit outdated, and I suspect that the COVID shutdowns took a toll on it. If I were in charge, I would focus on a fusion style and create a more dependable menu. Additionally, the restaurant didn't quite live up to its name, as I never saw any curries being highlighted.
The food was delicious and tasted like homemade dishes, but the portion of curry was smaller than expected for the price. The staff were friendly, and the chef even took the time to explain the ingredients in detail when we placed our order. Although we arrived close to closing time, we didn’t feel rushed at all. Just a heads up, parking is limited outside.
The food is great and the people were even better. Just for my take-out order, I received incredbily thoughtful and generous service from the two people I encoutered. The food was very bland. If you really have that itch for Indian food it may scratch but probably not. They will ask how spicy you want it but I couldn't tell the difference between mild and very spicy. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20 Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Our family of seven orders from this restaurant once a month, and our favorite dish is the mild Butter Chicken paired with garlic naan. We all absolutely love it! The basmati rice is perfect, the chicken is tender, and the sauce is wonderfully buttery.
I lived in Bellingham from 2012 to 2013, and this restaurant has the best biryani I've ever tasted. God willing, I'll visit the U.S. again and make sure to order it once more.
The wife and I eat here quite regularly with our kids. We all love the flavours, especially the butter chicken. Can't wait to try the other dishes!
