Our favourite Indian restaurant by far! Always freshly cooked, piping hot and very tasty food....loads of interesting flavours, not just Curry . Ash, the owner, is delightful....hard working, and very honest! The staff are friendly, attentive and polite and service is quick and efficient! The restaurant itself is comfortable and warm, but does not have the obligatory Indian background music playing continually! Just a pleasant, easy listening playlist! Never, in all the years Curry Mahal has been here, have we had a poor meal, either eating in or takeaway! We are very lucky to have a great quality restaurant such as this in our village! A busy restaurant, excellent food and very good service. £70 for 3 adults, poppadoms, starters and mains with drinks. Very quick and friendly service, food was hot and tasty. A nice evening with family. The only thing that spoils it is the parking at the rear which is limited by the co-op store to 90 mins. It puts you and the restaurant under pressure. We made our exit with 5 mins to spare but had to omit coffees. Did not affect my restaurant score as it is out of their control.
I went to this restaurant for a networking meeting with a fairly large group of people, as it has become a regular event for us. We started with poppadums and sauces, which were always a nice touch. The starter was enjoyable, with a unique version of onion bhaji and delicious chicken. The main dishes, rice, and naan bread were all a good selection. Overall, there was nothing to fault with this restaurant.
A fine evening at the Curry Mahal with good friends. The owner Ash and his staff Grace and Nas are brilliant, friendly and always ready with advice on what to try, especially off menu items. Haven't been here in years but we were surprised by the quality of the food. The onion bhajis were really fresh and are huge. More vegetarian choices than some curry houses I've been to recently. I loved the vegetable tikka Jaipur and brought leftovers home for tea. We'll be back!
Staff are rude and the service is poor. Fathers day was like carry on curry house! Waiting ages for food and drinks and not even an apology. Staff didnt even know the menu and what they served -I think they made it up as they went along.
This is my company’s go to Indian restaurant for after work get togethers and to welcome new staff. The food is always excellent and the staff attentive when they need to be.

So fresh so tasty . Huge portions! Onion khakis and nans where so fresh and tasty. Very impressive would highly recommend this restaurant
