My roommates and I had a tough, cold, rainy day, so we decided to order takeout from Curry Mantra. The online ordering process was quick and easy, and our food was ready for pickup on time. The staff member at the front desk confirmed my first name and then double-checked with my first and last name on the receipt to prevent any mix-ups. I really appreciated this attention to detail, as I have received incorrect orders from other restaurants in the past due to similar errors.
Customer service was bad. Food tasted terrible. Lamb was Not tender and also was really dry., samosas were old, chicken tikka looked like blood and the chicken was so dry it gave me migraines. The men didn?t even ask us to sign the receipt because knew wouldn?t get a tip. Think about how aware you have to be of how rude you are to customers in order to not even try to get a tip. I ordered through a delivery app and found the main dishes to be acceptable. However, I was greatly let down by the portion size of the pista kulfi ice cream. For $5.95, I received a cup that was the size of a condiment. It was packaged in a larger styrofoam bowl with ice alongside the hot food. It would have been better if they placed it directly in the foam bowl and in a separate bag. The menu should clearly state that the portion size is only around 3 ounces.
I am so disappointed in this restaurant. Curry Mantra used to be one of my favorite restaurants, however this evening I ordered Boka Kabob And the lamb was pro quality and very tough. Clearly this lamb was not slow cooked for 24 hours as they advertised. I am hoping this is a one time only event, but perhaps energy prices have gotten in the way of slow cooking food for 24 hours. this place was good. eating is hard in the wise that I think they have used oil more than traditional ingredients. the number of inherited in the Matar disc is sad and worse, as few mushrooms are in the Matar pill for $12. that was a good place, but now they're sneaking you. the meat dishes are worse and the quality is gone. the naan is still good, but he's not enough.
This restaurant in Fairfax is truly a hidden gem! They serve the most delicious Indian cuisine in Northern Virginia. The Chicken 65 appetizer and Butter Chicken curry are absolutely delicious and a must-try. Once you dine here, I'm sure you'll quickly consider it one of your top favorite restaurants.
The food was not that great. If you are going here make sure to tell the spice level correctly because we ordered biryani with extra spice level all we got was biryani stirred in red chili paste. The Non/veg chicken platter was kind of okay.

"My partner and I met up with my sister here for brunch/lunch and it was great! We came in on a Sunday around 10:30am and we were seated right away. The waiter was super friendly and attentive. The food was delicious! Went later for some cheesecake slices.My only complaint is that the slices are nearly $10 each!! A little pricey, in my opinion, but nonetheless tasty!"
