We have visited this Dairy Queen location on a couple of occasions this summer which is located in the centre of the 'New Minas strip.' Taking into consideration it is a fast food outlet, the food has been excellent. In addition, the staff are super friendly and really do care about customer satisfaction. Our server (Jodi) went out of her way on both occasions to ensure our visit was the best it could be. Not to forget the rest of the staff who seem to be just as dedicated, and all working very hard to please.Another very noticeable 'attention getter' is the place is very clean with an attractive decor. This DQ recently renovated and uses a new format in which you enter, order at the counter as per usual, then take a seat. Your order is delivered to your table when ready; much nicer than standing at the counter while waiting for the order to be prepared. The food is standard DQ fare and I have never encountered below DQ standard food at this location. The new layout of this place makes it more pleasant to dine in than the regular DQ layout, eg: you are isolated from the order/cash line. All the servers I have encountered at this location have been pleasant, mature women. The layout, servers and procedure for serving the meal make this restaurant a superior DQ.
A last second choice as we were driving through New Minas. A place we all agreed on because we all enjoy Dairy Queen.We were greeted with a lifeless blank faced employee who had no smiles to share. The service was almost robot like with no human qualities. A very odd and cold quality to be working the front line of a restaurant. The ice cream, as always was good, but the burgers were were little more than blah. This was a shocking visit that left us wondering what has happened to Dairy Queen. Poor food and poor service???
DQ now has two new specials, a $6 and a $7 meal that includes a sandwich, fries, large drink and an sundae. You get a coupon for the sundae so you don't have to take it with the meal and watch it melt. We actually ate lunch and then went to the Home Depot and picked up our sundae after shopping. The service was great and the place was clean even just after the lunch crowd finished. For $1 extra, you can change the sundae for a blizzard which I did.Definitely a good spot to eat.
I went through the drive thru because I really wanted just a peanut butter cookie dough snash blizzard and figured it would be quick. It definitely did not take long to go through ordering. I thought something was strange when I left the speaker (they never repeated my order back). I got to the window (only one car in front of me) and they asked what my order was again. I guess somehow I got missed? I am glad it was not busy or this could have taken awhile.
We go to the DQ once in a while for their burgers. They are flame broiled and not microwaved... We like the Onion Rings too and I enjoy a Raspberry Slush, although I hate the "Brain Freeze" when I drink them too fast. It's a place where we remember the past and we are a fan of the DQ menu.The Ice Cream treats are " Classics" and anyone who has not had a "Banana Split" needs to have one. DQ has been making these for decades.
I haven't been to Dairy Queen for many years so I thought I would try it again with a co-worker. Ordered a combo that came with a side order of fries, or should I say "Fry".There were literally 7 fries in the basket and the burger was not very impressive.Will not be going back to DQ for another 20 years !!!
So wanted a DQ but very cold outside so decided on a drive through. Lovely Ice cream and friendly service, especially as we got the order wrong an the server did not bat an eye at remedying it for us
Fast food with the added touch of staff bringing you your order so that you don't have to stand in a line-up. Front counter staff are courteous and the interior is clean and well cared for.
