Dalesio’s. Oh Dalesio’s. Where to begin. First, I made a reservation and had to do so by either calling or emailing. I emailed, and the owner emailed me back. Kudos on the owner still being involved, but a little weird. We went on a Tuesday. They open at 5pm. Our reservation was for 5:30pm and we got there a little early, around 5:20pm. We were the only two people in the entire restaurant until 5:50pm when two more people came in. It was a little awkward. The decor and tables and chairs are 20 years past needing a renovation. I overlooked all of this in hopes that the food from the #6 rated restaurant in Baltimore would blow my socks off current trip advisor status at the time of this review...
What a fantastic dining experience! The food was exceptionally tasty and skillfully prepared. We adored the calamari appetizer—lightly battered, tender, and a generous serving. The garlic bread was warm, fresh, and perfectly seasoned. It was definitely worth the extra workout at the gym! For my entrée, I had the Scampi Di Mare Alla Napoletana, while my husband enjoyed the Vitello Bolognese, and all I can say is WOW! So delicious! I usually skip dessert after such a large meal, but I couldn't resist the allure of the Creme Brulee, and I'm so glad I didn't! It was by far the best I've ever had—creamy and delightful! My husband and I and 8 friends had dinner at Dalesio 's of Little Italy before the Orioles-Yankees game. My husband ordered a garlic bread appetizer and I had Italian Wedding Soup. The garlic bread was perfectly seasoned and was delicious. I loved the soup so much she wanted to take home a gallon of broth. The menu of entrées is broad and varied. We both chose the Vitello Bolognese, and it came as described, A hearty long-simmered meat sauce of ground veal, minced carrots, onion, celery, garlic, cream, red wine and tomato sauce. Served over linguine . It was among the best we 've ever had. Our friends dined on salads, pasta, fish, crabcake, and mussels, and all very much enjoyed their meals....

Visiting Baltimore for the weekend, we wanted to find a local restaurant we couldn’t find at home. After a disappointing dinner at a competitor, Dalesio’s salvaged our weekend. We were taken to our table right at our reservation time. There are a limited number of tables so privacy and intimacy are easily achieved. They had some very tasty specials to offer on top of the varied menu. They began with delicious warm bread for which we were offered seconds. Our salad and soup came quickly. Our meals were served hot and were absolutely delicious. Our server Alex was very attentive and engaging. Our next trip to Baltimore will include another stop at Dalesio’s for sure.
We were in town celebrating a friend's birthday and I reached out online to request a reservation. Paul Dalesio responded promptly and was very accommodating for our party. His kindness, professionalism, and thoughtfulness really stood out. Our friends who couldn’t make it in person called to pay for drinks, appetizers, and desserts, and the staff handled it perfectly, making sure to present who had paid for each item. The food was fantastic, the service was top-notch, and everyone went out of their way to ensure our evening was memorable. I highly recommend the pastas, and be sure to save room for dessert! Thank you, Mr. Dalesio and the entire staff!
The food was outstanding. I had the seafood Mediterranean, while my wife chose the calamari marinara, and both dishes ranked among the best Italian cuisine we've enjoyed in restaurants in the U.S. The dessert and coffee after the meal were also impressive, and if I had to recommend a dessert, it would definitely be the pistachio sponge cake. Overall, this is an amazing restaurant with fantastic staff and a truly wonderful experience. Dietary restrictions: They offer excellent options for those with gluten allergies and sensitivities.
The location is excellent , with both outdoor terrace dining and indoor seating. Our server David was friendly. The food arrived on time. The ingredients tasted fresh. However, the taste was not up to the high standard of some of the other Italian places we have been to Daniela's). However we did try only vegetarian/ Salmon. Can't comment on the meat dishes. In town for my husband's convention. Walked here from the hotel (Homewood Suites). My husband and daughter are very picky when it comes to Italian food. They raved about their dish that had pasta with mussels, squid, shrimp etc. I had the flounder special with a crab cream sauce that was wonderful and just the right amount over the fish. Our friends had the crabcake which was huge. Dessert was also excellent. Server was very attentive and kept our water glasses filled. Prices are reasonable.
