I had a great experience sitting at the bar of this quaint restaurant. There was a piano player singing to broadway and Disney songs and the bartender was singing along as well. It’s definitely not something extremely upscale, but I chose this restaurant for proximity to Chicago in the ambassador theatre. Me and a friend just had a couple of martinis and bruschetta toast before the show as we had eaten dinner in queens (to save a couple dollars). But was pleasantly surprised n y the music and good service in Times Square and from what we saw the entrees looked deluxe and our appetizer was good and the espresso martini was made with real espresso!
We visited the restaurant immediately after the Chicago musical, which is right across the street from DaMarino. The temperature was a scorching 39 degrees that week. There was no air conditioning, just some noisy fans near a few tables. The facilities were run-down, and the food was overpriced. There were no prices listed on the daily specials menu, and I ended up paying $49.50 for sea bass fillets from that menu! This place is a typical tourist trap.
Delicious food and attentive service. Very quaint, dare I say stereotypical yet awesome decor. You 'll understand. Especially if you see the ladies ' room. My friend and I had a beautiful dinner prior to seeing a show and the location was perfect. Would return!
We ordered the lasagna and cabanara. They were both just ok. The lasagna was just lukewarm in the middle. I was expecting much better Italian food being in NYC. Service and atmosphere was great, just wished the food was as well.

Chocolate Fettuccine!!!! Need I say more? What a great place!!! We come every time we come to NYC! We love Tom and all the staff! Great food!
