I recently had lunch at Damascus, a fantastic restaurant in Calgary that offers a unique traditional Middle Eastern cuisine. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, however, they have a couple of tables, so it’s not a dine in place (one or 2 persons max). The menu was quite rich, offering a wide variety of dishes to choose from, including falafel, kebabs, and shawarma! The flavors were bold and flavorful, and I was especially impressed by the rich spices and herbs used to season. The sandwiches/wraps were generous! I was able to enjoy a delicious and satisfying meal. I also appreciated the service I received. Ahmed and Ayham were knowledgeable about the menu and provided great recommendations...
We recently discovered this gem and tried it twice so far. It's always busy with orders which is reassuring that food is fresh. To be honest I am currently eating leftovers from yesterday and couldn't but comment how tasty it still is. Even their salad has flavor which most places lack. I highly recommend you try it. It is one of the best if not the top shawarma place I've tried in Calgary so far. Thanks for your hard work
Tried the place out for the 1st time they had this new beef and lamb shawarma that they have been tryin out...I must say it was AMAZING!! Took me right back to the Mediterranean the flavors in their food hit home the Greek salad was so good I wanted the recipe also the service was real good and the ppl there r really friendly I will definitely be going back honestly the food was really really good!! Can't say I'm in the majority here with most of the positive reviews. The price of their Shawarma here is higher than most in Calgary and it has a pungent smell to it. It's quite thin for the price paid. Other than that, the taste is decent but needs more seasoning. The shop is also quite small and fits maybe 10 people max.

Got the chicken donair here and wasn't disappointed. Service was fast and friendly, despite the shop being packed with people. They also gave me a water cup, even though they usually don't provide that which shows that they go above and beyond in terms of customer service. I would definitely come here again.
Awesome food the Tabbouli Salad is fresh and made proper, the Large Mixed Donair Wrap (Chicken and Beef) was on point, the Beef Donair Poutine was also satisfying good cheese curds. Would highly recommend eating here worth the money.
I ordered a catered lunch for 20 people and the entire experience was wonderful. Incredible customer service, amazing Food, everything was delivered as expected. Would order from Damascus again in a heartbeat!
If your craving some shawerma in Calgary this is the place to go. The staff are super friendly and they have a good variety of Arabic sandwiches
