Ok, so where do I start? First off, my husband and I are from Vegas. We came to visit Universal Studios and stayed in Glendale. We looked for local restaurants and spotted Damon’s with a 4.5 review. We’re also extremely confused by such high reviews and shocked at how bad the food really was. The house salad was awful, not even exaggerating. It was basically thousand island dressing, tiny sliced beets that tasted like it was canned, chopped lettuce that didn’t look fresh.We ordered the brisket and pulled pork combo. Nice place. It's a huge space with very friendly staff. You need to walk through dining room to the hostess station by the bar. Unfortunately the prime rib was overcooked that day I was informed so I got the bone in NY and she got the ribeye both were excellent. She had Spinach and I had a salad which was amazing . Just a chopped salad with blue cheese and beets but literally I'm still thinking about that salad the next day. She had the pea soup and it was excellent. For appetizers we had the potato skins also tasty. We had some mai tais and chi chis which were not shy on the boos. All and all a nice steakhouse and a nice night
Good Food here, great customer service and the server Mary, she is down to earth, answers my question and very much cares for her customers all the time. I love the atmosphere and I feel very comfortable taking time to dine in the restaurant. Vegetarian options: You can ask to take out Butter and Cheese. Hidden Diamond!!! I barely found out about Damon's about 6 months ago and we have been here 3 times. Family loves the atmosphere, the food, the amazing drinks, and the fish tank! Great place to go to just forget you are in a busy city and just unwind with some great food and drinks. The BBQ brisket and pulled pork combo is one of the best I have ever had. The steaks and coconut shrimp are equally amazing. That house salad is so refreshing!
Truly a place to visit! The decor was beautiful and historical with the murals and items around since 1937. With Trader Vic's and Don the Beachcomber gone, we hope this tropical themed gem sticks around. The food was very delicious! but the presentation did not match the ambiance or price. We were still happy with our experience. The hostess and manager were very kind. Definitely coming back when they get their tiki mugs in!
Food was ok yet pricey, do not understand the hype. The salad that comes w the meal has a weird type of dressing that made my stomach upset, the steak wasn’t of high quality and was overcooked.
