I've frequented Dancing Goats for years and this morning was my last visit. For the 3rd trip in a row, the barista got my drink order wrong. I'm not the type to ask for corrections but today I kindly ask the barista to remove the whip cream from my drink it does not sit well with my stomach) . He rolled his eyes, went to the sink to slough off the whip and handed me the cup with whip cream streaming down the sides. My elementary school kids were with me and wanted to buy me Mother's Day gift pack. As they were checking out, one of the mugs was incorrectly priced $19 vs $30) so the boys had to figure out how to pay the difference from their allowance. Then after taking the credit card payment...
Can't really speak about food since I didn't order any but the latte I had was great. Definitely made by baristas that know what they're doing and take pride in their work. Staff was very warm, welcoming, and had helpful advice on deciding what to get. Sometimes you just want something different than your usual go-to and they were helpful in that regard. Overall a great place but unfortunately no outdoor seating. Would be nice to enjoy the outdoors, in the shade when the weather is nice. Even better if they occasionally had some live entertainment, like singer/songwriter or a duo, etc.Parking: Good size parking lot with parking on both sides and behind the building. Dancing goats has great coffee, there's no doubt about that. They have a very diverse menu with lots of options and lots of add-ons to make your coffee just the way you like it. The only hesitation I have with their menu is when it comes to food. When you order food they make you heat it up on your own in a microwave that's in the back of the restaurant and even cut your own bagels and toast them if you want one of those. I feel like if you were going to serve food, you should serve it to the customers instead of making them do part of the work, like a hotel breakfast buffet. Yummy coffee with a great atmosphere, just overpriced.The iced latte here is always smooth with not too much ice, with a variety of syrup options. However, I find that the espresso itself could be a bit more flavorful and bold.The inside has a decent amount of seating and parking is abundant, in a convenient location. Sometimes service takes a while even when it's not too busy, though. They don't usually call names when a drink is ready, which is not good when my +1 orders a cappuccino. Most seats are away from the bar as well, so that's even less convenient.The staff has never been rude, they are just a little dry.This is a nice, air conditioned place to go when it's hot for a cool drink. The Dancing Goats Coffee Bar is decent. The ambiance is pleasant, but the quality of the coffee leaves much to be desired. The latte was pretty average, with somewhat messy milk foam and unimpressive flavor. Additionally, the food choices aren't exceptional; you have to heat up the breakfast sandwich on your own. Overall, there are better lattes and coffee shops offering superior food options nearby. While Dancing Goats isn’t bad, it’s not a place worth making a special trip for.
I am a huge fan of DGD! As a local resident, I love being able to walk to such an amazing coffee shop with a fantastic atmosphere and delicious drinks. It's exactly what I need! As an educational consultant, on the days I work from home, enjoying a seasonal drink while lounging on a comfy couch at Dancing Goats is just what I need. I give it a perfect 10/10 and highly recommend it! Did I mention it’s Black-owned?
I love this place! It is the only place I can get a frozen drink that is decaf and without sugar added. It's my favorite! The ambiance is nice. Seating both inside and outside. I love sitting outside and watching the people go by.
