My friends had been here before and raved about the quality of the food, so I couldn't wait to judge for myself. The place is clean, brightly lit and more reminiscent of a takeaway, fast food place, or family restaurant. It didn't sit many people, but it wasn't overly loud and there were certainly families there.It was recommended and agreed to very quickly to have the banquet ($41.00 per head). I was also advised by my friends to pace myself. Good advice.The entrees were an assortment of dips, pickled vegetables and breads (see photo). Certainly enough to satisfy the average appetite.Soon after we had taken a rest, sausages and kebabs arrived, then more meats.I wish I had taken more photos...
This is a small family restaurant that we have visited 4-5 times. We go there for a simple, fresh and tasty meal that does not cost a fortune. We are never disappointed.Last weeks meal (dinner) started with pita bread and 3 dips for two, to share. Very tasty.Delicious. Almost a meal in itself. This was followed by sharing a magnificent steak and Israeli salad. Both completely satisfied.The staff are very accommodating. Nothing is too much trouble.The real test though is wether the restaurant is always busy. This one is. They must be doing something right.
My kids and I love Danny's. The food is so fresh and delicious! The Mega Falafel Plate is a family favourite with lots of crispy falafel, salad, fresh pita bread and the best hummus I've ever had. You can't go wrong with the Pitas either. The kids love the Chicken Schnitzel Pita and my personal fav is the Sabih Pita with boiled egg and eggplant. YUMMY!Their grills look delicious from Shashlik to Cutlets and Schnitzel to Wings.This is a restaurant that we return to again and again and the food is always great.I would recommend this to anyone!
This the seriously the best meat fix anywhere. $59 for two of us and we are pretty well stuffed. BYO and no corkage. Have been there twice and will definitely go back. The steak is eye fillet. Went really well with a delish bottle of French red wine. Also magnificent service. I know a few eating places who could take a leaf out of their book. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
we had four for dinner shown to a table, asked if we could move to another vacant one (you cannot book ) NO! This the sort of attitude you get here unless you are a well known local. The well known locals get the Service and the Attention!!!The food is aplenty and you should share dishes. Its platters galore.
The sign out the front doesn't really encourage you to go in but the food and the service is sensational. We ordered the mixed grill and Greek salad. It was too much for 2 people but absolutely delicious. It's byo and no corkage charge. Pita bread was divine. Will certainly be back.
This eatery offers a good combination of both Middle Eastern and European cuisines.It.is like its food no frills in decor,unlike its predecessor in Hawthorn Rd, but offers good value in its fare.

Loved going there, I stayed in Melbourne for a couple of months and loved going there. If you like Israeli food, I believe it's the best in Australia
