I enjoyed a unique experience at Dante restaurant. Its cozy atmosphere makes it feel more like a chic bar than a traditional restaurant. The cocktails are fascinating, and both the tiramisu and affogato were truly delicious, reminding me of flavors I haven 't tried in a long time time. However, I must admit that the pastas did not live up to my expectations. What can I say about this iconic restaurant? The cocktails were definitely worth trying, but I have to be honest—the food didn't meet my expectations. The cheeseboard seemed like it could have come from Trader Joe's (and I do love Trader Joe's), yet it was extremely overpriced. The lamb flatbread was decent, while the shrimp salad was just average. I gave it 3 stars mainly because the service was truly disappointing. I visited for lunch when the place was not busy and appeared to be well-staffed, but our server was nowhere to be found during our meal.
However, the service left something to be desired. We had to request our coffee multiple times. I envy all the other reviewers who got to enjoy those incredible-looking cocktails because we never received a drink menu. At one point, they tried to clear our plates while we were still eating, which felt rushed, yet we had to ask for the bill numerous times. Despite the inconsistent service, I would definitely come back!
Drinks here are fantastic. We have been here 4-5 times and the food is all consistently very good except the focaccia, which is a bit bland and dense. We loved the boar pappardelle, lemon pesto tagliatelle, and frutti di mare pastas. Lamb flatbread great, mussels, tartare, burrata, carrots, and broccolini have also been great. Loved this place! The best spot if Negronis are your jam! Pick any one on the menu and it is a home run! They even have the Classic Negroni on Tap! My server Roberto was outstanding. I loved the Bianco Negroni, Classic Negroni and really loved the Unlikely Negroni! I truly cannot wait to return!
Recognized as the best bar in the world for several years, the Negroni happy hour here is unparalleled. The Italian food at their original location in Greenwich Village is excellent, and they also offer some of my favorite cocktails in the city.
The food here is excellent! However, there aren't many vegetarian options available. I really enjoyed the pistachio pasta and green beans, which were beautifully presented. Just a heads up, the chicken parmesan didn't come with pasta.

I went to Caffe Dante for a latte and sat at the bar. Michael was fantastic! He was friendly, knowledgeable, and kind.
