The wait staff here need to pick up their game. Its not a pleasant sight to have dirty cutlery, dishes, leftover food and crumpled serviettes lying around when you are sitting down for a meal.
Housekeeping issues aside, I found all dishes a bit on the sweeter side. We ordered the dal bukhara (mixed pulses), paneer butter masala (standard red colored tomato based gravy) and chicken chatpat (cubed pieces of chicken in a tomato sauce, but quite sweet). The breads (plain naan, garlic naan and peshawari naan) were passable.
There also seemed to be a dependency on food colouring which I found off-putting. We finished off with mango lassi, which interestingly was not sickly sweet and had a pleasan...
Everything about Darbar Indian Restaurant was great. The place was clean and ambiance is so good. The staff and greeter Shiva was very nice. Our waiter was awesome, the staff also worked as a team in bringing and cleaning up our food. The food was fresh and tasty and awesome atmosphere. After the dinner we also had some dessert and the taste was really amazing. Great atmosphere with really nice people. We will definitely go again and highly recommended for food lovers. Shiva and his team catered for our daughter's birthday party with over 125 guests. I was extremely pleased with my choice of Darbar for catering, as they prioritize the customer experience. The food was delicious and authentic, with perfect flavors and quantities. I will definitely choose Darbar again in the future. I ordered food for a group of 40 people and the dishes were absolutely delicious. Everyone was raving about the food and there was more than enough to go around. Shiva, the owner, was extremely gracious and made sure we had everything we needed. I highly recommend visiting Darbar Restaurant at least once - you'll be sure to become a regular customer after that experience.

We had Darbar to cater for a birthday party and the food was so delicious with a perfect blend of all the spices. All the guests loved the food and the qty was Great. Shiva was well organised with arranging everything needed and communication was really good. Thank you very much..
This Indian restaurant in Canberra is the best. I have always had a great dining experience here. I recently had them cater for my daughter's fifth birthday and the food was delicious and the price was reasonable. Keep up the good work, guys!
Absolutely scrumptious Indian meal. We had the salmon entree and then the Kerala korma and the stuffed eggplant curry. All were delicious. The table service was exemplary. We will be back soon.
Nothing Special about this restaurant. As we entered in to the restaurant, no one there to receive us to ask for a table. Bad food , terrible service. Not worth the visit. Total

The food here aren't too bad. When we lived at Mode 3 it definitely was very convenient to get to as it was just downstairs. Quite good Indian food. Yours truly @fooderarri
Very good quality food. Nice presentation. Doesn't leave you bloated like other indian restaurants. Restaurant ambience needs an indian update!
