I have fallen in love with Das Meyer. After going to a couple of, for lack of a better word, intense wedding cake tastings, Das Meyer was a breath of fresh air. Their cake tasting process is so easy, you ask for a slot in a Saturday tasting, show up with $20 and taste away. They make it as minimally overwhelming as possible by bringing you a few flavors at a time and not making you taste every single flavor they offer, just the ones you're interested in. This brings me to the cake. It's fabulous. The wedding cake flavor was something we weren't finding at other bakeries but Das Meyer NAILED it. The other flavors are also divine. We ended up getting almond silk (wedding cake flavor), chocolat...
So I decided to order a custom cake for my birthday for the first time ever. And let me tell you, every single one of my guests that tried the cake said it was the BEST cake they have EVER eaten!! I ordered the chocolate cake with Bailey's Irish cream frosting. It was absolutely delicious and LOOKED AMAZING. Creating the order was painless, we looked at some Google image inspirations and discussed what I was looking for. And THEY DELIVERED. I have multiple friends who said they will be definitely ordering from here. I definitely will order from here myself in the future. My only complaint is the cash only policy, but they do have an ATM inside and the charge for pulling out cash really isn't...
I have been ordering these cakes for the past 23yrs, they are usually very delicious and moist. However, on 9/16/2023, I picked up our traditional birthday cake berries in the cloud upon serving and eating the cake it was very dry. I called Das Meyer to discuss and spoke with Hillary. Her remarks were very strange apologized and would personal look into it. I did not ask for any compensation, nor was any offered for our $50.00, 6inch cake. Amazing jem of a bakery! Family owned father and son and the rest of the family! Ali, one of the owners was amazing and showed us around this Willie Wonka-like JEM of a bakery, a true Denver institution! Awesome pastries, custom cakes and cookies and more! Popped in to get a sweet treat for our anniversary. Picked out a lemon bar, key lime bar, Oreo bar, and a carrot cake slice. The bars were chalky shortbread base and was all you could “taste”. It was just flavorless.The citrus bars had no zest or sweet tartness. Carrot cake was fairly moist and had a fair flavor but very lack luster. Maybe I chose the wrong things but was Saddened.
We came to Das Meyer with a last-minute cake request, and they were able to help us out! We asked for a Super Mario themed birthday cake, and they delivered! It was the cutest birthday cake! The cake itself was very tasty. I believe it was yellow cake with strawberries mixed in. all around great service! Thank you, Das Meyer, for the birthday cake!
This is not only the cutest bakery I’ve ever seen, the cakes are just incredible. The people who work here are also just the nicest people. We were lucky to have their german chocolate cake for my husbands birthday and it was amazing. It is worth going out of your way to use cash and we will be getting our cakes here from now on!
We got our wedding cake from Das Myer and it was incredible. The cake tasting was a fantastic experience and the wedding cake itself was both beautiful and absolutely delicious! It's extremely off-putting that they don't take cards, just cash and checks. I used the ATM on site (why not just get a credit card machine instead) and spent over $20 on dry, stale baked goods. I threw a couple things away.
