Just had to share poor service on a Tuesday night with a pathetic group of staff stacking around doing nothing. Sitting at the bar, you 'd expect great service. We felt like a different staff had taken over; a fun, attentive group is usually there... Employees were speaking ill of other employees a server had screwed up big time and was paying back the business $10.a shift uncomfortable and yet while waiting to check out, they decided to ask if we wanted a drink refill!!! We were leaving!!! Please, please, please bounce that lazy crew. Just because we are not locals doesn 't mean we don 't want respect I 'm not the one you were speaking too ... Ugh smh
09/15/24. The food is very average and as plain and boring as Gregg's East Providence. I had the Turkey dinner which was extremely bland! Service was nothing great, as Waitress tried to take away food before I was finished! Ambiance was terrible, we were sat by Hostess next to a table of Fourteen with small children yelling, running around and jumping on the back of our booth! We were a table of two, why sit us here, when there were plenty of other reasonably quiet areas of adults! Did Not Enjoy At All!! Not Recommended. Will Not Return!!
I was very impressed with this Davensport's location specifically because of how nice and accommodating they were to one of my elderly family members. The staff were incredibly friendly, prompt and very knowledgeable on the menu offerings. The restaurant is very spacious and clean with a variety of seating options. They also have a decent sized bar and a spacious banquet room for large events. The menu was comparable to other local restaurants. The pricing was fair and the meal portions were adequate.
I went there for lunch. Our server was excellent and very attentive. Our drinks were at the table in five minutes. Our food came to the table in roughly 12 minutes. I had the shrimp tacos and Caesar salad. The salad was fresh with just enough cheese for my taste. The shrimp tacos were slightly spicy BUT that's how I like them. Great price, great food! We went to Davenport's as part of the Rhode Island Food Fights Big Burger Blowout and we were NOT disappointed! We ordered two different burgers off the menu and they were both delicious! The ambiance is very casual and like a home-town place where you feel comfortable! Our server was very friendly and attentive!
This place is a family favorite. Was there last night and our server Charles was awesome. We had a party of 15 including children. The guy was amazing and didn't miss a beat. The food is always on point and reasonable. It does get very busy but there's a good reason for it.
Good food with an acceptable presentation, but the waitress was excellent service, friendly, and professional.
