DaVinci Pizza on the Square in downtown Scranton, Pennsylvania, is a small pizzeria that can handle big appetites. WIth new owners taking over within the past year, the eatery not only features specialty pizzas, but also hot and cold subs, wings, and pasta salad. I visited the place after work on a Friday afternoon, around 5:15. Although the tables in the back were empty, the staff was hard at work making pizzas for what appeared to be a constant flow of take-out customers. I heard DaVinci was making Detroit-style pizza earlier in the day, so I was hoping to get a few cuts of the square pizza. Before heading back to the hotel, we made a quick stop for some pizza in downtown Scranton, Pennsylvania, right across from the County Courthouse. Kit ordered a plain slice, while I chose a slice of pepperoni with hot honey. Depending on the pizzerias, some places serve whole pies, while others have slices available under glass. The slices here were enjoyable, though I would describe them as "Football Style" — perfect for a quick bite.
Probably the best white pizza I've ever had. You don't know me, but I know white pizza. This stuff SLAPS and for what it's worth I opted for these guys because some coworkers had normal pizza and said it was amazing.I wouldn't take the chance with anything else .Separately, the Uber eats driver who delivered it a block to the hotel for me was amazing. All in all, it's 10:40pm and I'm thriving.Thank you.
No frills, delicious quick bite for under ten dollars. Excellent spin on the Detroit style typically on special, savory crispy deep-dish with American, vodka or cheesesteak on top.Great place for lunch.

Pizza is not NY style pizza with thin crust. Cheese is not a blend mozzarella only. Sauce leaves alot to be desired. And please cut the meats on the antipasto! Original owners were much better.
This was our first time ordering from this place, and we had a gift card for their NY style pizza. It arrived hot and tasted amazing! We will definitely be ordering from here again. Thank you!
I’ve had multiple items, all were great. Great NY Pie, everything Buffalo (bites, pizza) is very good. Really feels like an old school pizzeria inside.
I had a hot wing hoagie here. The hot sauce they used, nicknamed “the sauce,” was fantastic. The guy taking the order was pretty cool, too.

This is by far the closest you can get to New York-style pizza in Scranton—truly amazing!
