We had a great experience at this restaurant, which is located by the river on a beautiful sunny Sunday morning. The staff was friendly, the atmosphere was clean, and we chose to sit outside. I ordered the vegetarian breakfast bowl and my daughter had the French toast with chocolate and a crispy crumb topping. The restaurant wasn't very crowded, but we had to wait nearly half an hour for our food. The presentation was nice, but my daughter found a long hair on her French toast and my fried egg was overcooked and the toast was cold. The coffee was worth the wait... almost. For somewhere that has Koffie in its name and appears to be pitching its service at supplying the best in town with a European lilt, it lets itself down with service. It's no ill reflection on any one...member of the staff, but sitting observing, there doesn't appear to be any teamwork. When asked if there was a menu, the response was lack lustre and there was a dismissive wave of the hand toward the salad bowls. In the end I've kept my order to light, but it's still taken 30 minutes for two coffees, a juice and some cake. When I challenged about timing, I was advised there was a rush... This was my third and final attempt to enjoy a couple of drinks in the bank-holiday sunshine at De Koffie Pot. I know that it has a fabulous location right next to the Wye, but that's no excuse for such shambolic service. The staff (if...you're lucky enough to collar one) have an absent, dead behind the eyes air about them and clearly couldn't care less if disgruntled would-be customers turn and walk away. If you haven't already guessed, I certainly will not be returning any time soon!
When visiting a place I always balance the positive which for here was pleasant staff behind the bar and a fab location. I found ordering on the app quick and easy The negative however a long wait for food and food that had been ordered...(paid for) that was never going to arrive because they had sold out. Was I ever going to be told or would I still be sat waiting!!! Outside staff were however spilling drinks and not as pleasant. I doubt I would return

The food and atmosphere was absolutely lovely and this is one of my favourite places to visit in Hereford city However, I am very disappointed that I was refused when I wanted to pay cash for my meal out with friends. Cash is legal tender...and should not be refused!
I was disappointed by the unprofessional behavior of the staff, who were overheard speaking negatively about customers. This type of behavior is not acceptable in any establishment. I used to enjoy dining here with my dogs, but I will not be returning.
Looked good but ended up walking out as not given any menus and 6 cant be bothered staff stood behind bar who ignored me.After asking about Food offerings did not know and had to ask another clueless member of staff so did not bother.
The bar and restaurant area by the river is stunning. There are plenty of seats both inside and outside, complete with fire pits for cozy seating. The drink selection is limited to one option, but the bar staff is very friendly.

Stopped here for a coffee/tea during a long walk around the city in a Sunday morning. The coffee was goo, the tea was real leaves, with a tea strainer! They were served to an outdoor table quickly and with a smile
