Before beginning this review, I should say that I am American, but have been living in Spain for 50 years. So I know what I am talking about. My (Spanish) husband and I have spent the last five days in Priego de Cordoba. Using the Trip Advisor list, we ate each day in one of the top-rated restaurants here, and were very disappointed both by food quality and staff friendliness (or lack of it). Since today was our last day, we decided to try something different. Average bar but friendly atmosphere. Nice local owner and as always in this part of Spain very friendly and forgiving that we didn't speak spanish! Its location is just around the corner from a beautiful water feature with fountains and stunning architecture which I'm sure in the summer would be heaving.
Todo lo que pedimos estaba buenísimo ,comida casera y la atención por parte de Andrea de 10 nos supo aconsejar platos fuera de la carta que estaban riquísimos y los postres otro placer.Pocos sitios hay como este merece la pena volver desde Sevilla.
Found this lovely place on our first day … we had already eaten so only had a drink but food looked great . Left a bag behind and they ran after us . Returned next day for lunch and had fabulous bacalo frita . Service excellent

Espectacular! En el ambiente habitual de un bar sencillo se esconde una cálida atención y unos deliciosos sabores caseros. Para repetir hasta agotar la carta.
Trato excelente, comida casera y rápida. Las setas con mermelada de aceite, superior. Y los torreznos muy bien hechos. Parada necesaria en Priego.
Llegamos sobre las 15:15. Nos atendieron super rápido y la comida estaba riquisima. El servicio fue muy amable también.
Un sitio muy acogedor en Priego, fuimos a pasar unos días y nos encantó este sitio, muy atentos y muy buena comida

Magnífica comida, buen servicio y una buena terraza junto a la espectacular Fuente del Rey. Lugar muy agradable.
Taberna de toda la vida. Excelente comida y mejor servicio. Las costillas espectaculares.
