I have visited many bars and establishments in Northern Michigan, and this one stands out as one of the better ones. The decor has a basic, rural Northern Michigan feel, which I appreciate. There is plenty of floor space, which I assume is not just due to Covid restrictions. The bar had a group of regulars who were unmasked, but we opted to sit in a booth for more space. Our young waitress was new and admitted she was still learning, but she was charming and we were patient with her. The food, made by Debbie, was truly homemade. We entered about 2 pm if not before, anyways...we ordered two coffees because it was raining and cold. It took fifteen minutes to get water and an additional 10 minutes to get coffee. We ordered the fried pickles w/ranch... They weren't very good and we asked about the ranch because it tasted like tartar sauce . We did ask how long it would take for what we wanted band she said a half hour, I said that's fine and we ordered. Low and behold about 10 minutes later I asked if we can get it to go and she said the order hadn't been putting IN! Never will I ever attempt to buy food at this place!!!!!!!!!!!
Up North Bar Food! I stopped in coming back down state from my annual spring steelhead trip. Had a cheeseburger and fries because that's what you order in a small town bar. Burger was decent, lots of grilled onions. Hand cut fries were hot and crisp. I added a side of slaw which was the typical food service variety. Typical Friday night crowd. Service was prompt and my waitress friendly. If you are passing through Baldwin, this is the place to stop. Now if they would bring back the Sporty Burger ;
I recently had a fantastic dining experience at Sportsman's in Baldwin. The food was fresh and delicious, the service was friendly, and the prices were reasonable. I particularly enjoyed the burgers, tacos, and beer selection. The fries were also top-notch. I recommend giving Debbie's a try if you find yourself in Baldwin. The only downside for me was the lack of unique decor or theme, but other than that, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit. I would give it four stars out of five.

My brother recommended Debbie's for a quick lunch while I was in Baldwin. I asked what the waitress recommended. Amanda said the burgers were the best. I ordered a cheeseburger deluxe with the hand-cut fries my brother got the jalapeno buger with the hand cut fries. Both were excellent, just like you'd make at home! Grilled buns very fresh, delicious ground beef from the meat shack. Awesome! Don't let the ambiance dissuade you... the food is great. Service was great! We'll be back!
Absolutely no pretense here folks, this is a dive bar through and through. It has dive bar ambience, dive bar menu, dive bar drinks, and dive bar prices. My friend and I stopped by for lunch on a recent fly fishing trip. I'm no a foodie, but I love food and the food was good. The service was great, and the waitress friendly. This is not five star dining, but if you want a hearty burger on the fly, don't hesitate to stop in.
Stopped in for the free wifi mainly and didn't think I was hungry. So I ordered only the mozzarella sticks but I ended up eating on my husbands Chicken Philly sand which which was delicious! Friendly service.
I used to go in for burgers. Not any more. They used to make fresh burgers, now they use frozen patties. Ordered fries with them and hardly got any. The place is dumpy and needs a complete make over.

I visited this restaurant for the first time and was met with very friendly staff. The burgers were delicious! I highly recommend this place!
Loved the up north atmosphere. Excellent burgers. Friendly staff. It is what it is and it is yum.
