One of my coworker recommended this place and she said that I must try their grilled eel. It's a fairly common dish eaten in Korea as it is believed to help with overall stamina. I haven't had a chance to have grilled eel in the states, for a very long time, so I was so excited. It's a bit pricey, but it was worth it. At first the fish looked flat, but once fully cooked, the meat got fluffy. It didn't have any fishy taste and was very fresh. I just had dinner at this restaurant and unfortunately, it wasn't a good experience. I found two pieces of steel wool in my soup. When I asked for soju, the response was simply "no"—not that they were out or didn’t have any, just a flat refusal. To top it off, they didn’t offer any discounts or compensation for the issues. While the server was nice, the overall atmosphere made me feel unwelcome.
They claimed to serve fresh meat, but it was clearly frozen. The staff showed no willingness to rectify the situation. I will never return there again.
