Our first visit to Del Gelato this afternoon. Not exactly ice cream weather but it's definitely worth a visit for the lovely coffee and other desserts available. Great customer service from the young woman serving today. Very clean place. And big! Plenty of seating (bench style built-in and chairs) and a lovely corner, which would be a great place for meeting up with a party of friends. Not busy this afternoon but I'm told it's a busy spot in the summer months. The variety of ice cream available is huge. Served in a cone or a dish. Cheesecakes and other desserts available. Prices are good. All in all a very nice place to visit. Oh, and plenty of free parking. I gave a 3* review for the atmos...
Absolutely shocking service. Been a few times in the past with no issue, however visited today and the staff were flat out rude especially the guy on the till. No manners, no smile and doesn't even know the menu. Not a massive issue, but they've had new menu's printed since we last visited. It's extremely hard to read lots of typos and very very poorly layed out. The gelato itself was really good. The Mocha came and we had to ask for it to be changed was nothing like a mocha and the waitress explained thats just how they make it there (tasted like a caramel latte, no chocolate at all). Atmosphere could do with just some background music, felt like you shouldn't be sitting in there. Not welco...
Very disappointed this weekend. We have eaten here many times and enjoyed the food. My daughter is soya intolerant but had no problem ordering soya free products in the past. This weekend we were told due to a supplier change there was nothing on the menu available for my daughter. She is also dairy intolerant and I appreciate choice is always a problem but to now find there is nothing she can have is sad. The attitude of the staff wasn 't great either a case of ah well, tough . When I mentioned this I was told we are not a vegan business . Unfortunately, despite previously enjoying our visits we can no longer go again.
I have often visited here always loved it I always get a hot chocolate but…. Todays hot chocolate well if I shut my eyes it tasted like hot water I asked a member of staff if the recipe had changed the reaction was no why very abrupt I just said it tasted of nothing no response apart from a shrug of the shoulders not very good customer service and I don’t think I will be revisiting I think I will spend my £27 somewhere other then here Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Absolutely rubbish service stood there waiting to be served the man kept looking at us but carried on doing jobs and then someone walked in and pushed in front of us and the man serving went straight to him and served him in front of us. All staff looked absolutely miserable as well . If there was a option to put zero star rating would've put that .
As always this is place to go for Ice cream; unless you are happened to be in Ripon near Knaresborough that also great ice cream place ; Del gelato have great variation of tasty ice cream which you will devour with joy
Delicious ice cream and always presented beautifully. Some staff can appear to become overwhelmed when it gets busy, though, and make mistakes. Other than that it's 100% the best place to visit on holderness road.
