Update: 2nd time order in person at the store last week. Ordered the baked lamb for weekday dinner. It was luke warm and not very flavorful. I was shocked considering my UberEats order below (2.5 weeks before) was piping hot and tasty AFTER delivery. The potatoes were lukewarm. I had a guest so didn't want to cause a fuss to warm it up or redo it. So bummed considering I was 10 feet from where it was made. Unless they already had it made and just heated it.. IDK, but it really disappointed me that my home delivery order was 5x hotter and steamy than the in-person. Will order from somewhere else for a while.1st time order. Amazing! Chicken kebob and chicken souvlaki is absolutely delicious super tender and flavorful perfect mild Greek spices, salad, and feta as well as the spinach pies, hummus, and fresh hot pita bread went here recently for some take-out everything was phenomenal was busy at the time and seemed a bit short staffed but still service was great and food was prepared and ready within 20 minutes my family used to go here a lot years ago I stop back in when I'm back in town and Wow food is still incredible possibly even better their shish kebab is mouth watering delicious! Cannot recommend enough!
I really wanted more out of this place. Inside was clean, and workers seemed happy. Hummus was tasteless, watery, and lacking lemon, garlic and tahini. Skewer plate had bland lemon potatoes, and dry lamb. Chicken kebob was well marinated and cooked well, however. Greek salad was a very simple, iceburg salad. Dressing was light lemon and oil. Nothing too memorable, and there are ample Mediterranean options in Watertown, Newton and Brighton that have Demos well beaten.
I absolutely adore this restaurant. The food is delicious, the staff are friendly, and they appear to be thriving despite the challenges of the current COVID situation. I ordered the moussaka, which was tasty as usual, although slightly watery. The side of green beans was the best I've ever had in a restaurant; perfectly cooked and seasoned.

I visited this restaurant back when I lived in Watertown 20 years ago. We stopped here on the way to our house from the airport. The only things that have changed are the decorations and the sign. The menu remains the same, and I still found it confusing to order, but the food was delicious and I still adore this place.
We have been in place for decades and have the same outstanding quality for a long time. I recommend the chicken bob dinner with her golden pommes... not a fan going with her rice is just as good with a splash of sauce. fun secret is all good here
The octopus was large and perfectly cooked, remaining tender and not chewy when it was served. I also tried the hunch kabob, which was generous in portion and delicious.
demo’s restaurant has been one of my favorite restaurants for over 20 years. if they like authentic Greek cuisine, there is no better place to go!

The best Greek restaurant in town! They also have a lot of gluten-free options, and other healthy alternatives with great quality ingredients.
Moussaka is great. The green beans are too plain without any flavor. I think even add some salt when spoiled would be better.
