Descanso Beach Club

Alright. A couple drinks in this would have been a 3 star review. BUT:Service: Can 't be better. Each server is assigned a row and we got Julian. He was fantastic and we never had to ask where 's our server . He was incredible.Chairs/Beach: When we arrived I had low expectations. Our chairs had previous visitors sand on them and our umbrella didn 't have the angle function. That said, it ended up being great. The beach is rocky like every other beach here but it was a really fun and great atmosphere. I wish they 'd rope off a bit as when you go from lounge chair to the water you have to walk over and through the public beach, which is jammed.Here 's my complaint that negated a star: They 100...

Came in on the 7 am boat. Since most places don't open till 9, we walked from Port to descanso Beach club and set our towels and chairs down. We then went to have breakfast in the main part of town, rented our bikes, rode around the island all day and when we came back to our towels, they were still there saving our spot with everyone else set up around us. Waitress came over and served us drinks and food. Only bad part was on our way out to catch the 4 pm boat, we realized someone stole my electric bike I had rented. I wasn't the only one whose bike was gone. No bothered to take my husband's mountain bike, only electric bikes were stolen.

Been meaning to write this review for a month now because we had such a wonderful time and the service at Descanso was amazing. We rented a couple hillside cabanas because it was the only thing left and it turned out perfectly!! We had kids with us, so having the grass for them to run around and play was perfect. Angel was our server and he could not have been more amazing. He was so attentive to all our needs and checked on us frequently. Would highly recommend getting a cabana for the day. Thanks DBC!

Descanso Beach is an absolute paradise. We enjoyed an entire day in a cabana, and it was sheer bliss. The waiter was both kind and professional, making sure our experience was exceptional. The food and drinks were excellent, perfectly enhancing the dreamy Caribbean vibes of the place. It's hard to believe that such a heavenly location is only a one-hour boat ride from Los Angeles. A visit to this restaurant is a must when you're in Avalon. It's just a short walk away, and the atmosphere, food, and surroundings are fantastic. The Surf and Turf nachos are incredible. We could easily spend the whole day here!

I absolutely love Descanso! My friends and I make it a point to visit every summer. The service is exceptionally attentive and they really go the extra mile. The drinks are delicious as well! I highly recommend it!
