Restaurant Review: Desi Bar and Grill @ MississaugaThe name itself is funny. As a "Desi" I would think this place would be teeming with bewdas (drunkards) and dance girls - Bombay dance bar style. Surprisingly it wasn't. In fact it was a quite a cute place with carefully thought decor and placing. On one side was the bar and on the other side the dining area. A mid height wall divided both. Bewdas on one side - families on the other. I am at work tonight in the Dixie area. I can't leave the building but glad I discovered UberEATS. Even better glad that I found Desi. I order chicken vindaloo and palak paneer (excuse the spelling). What a pleasure experience of Indian cuisine. Well done. My only complaint is price, but that seems to be normal with some Indian food. And the food was worth the value. Thank you. The UberEATS experience was well worth it.
Loved the Ambience and the Music !! Tandoori Platter and Butter Chicken nachos were the best with tons of other vegetarian options to chose from their Menu. Visited there last Saturday with a bunch of friends, luckily they had their Bollywood DJ night- Probably the best light and sound system I have come across in Mississauga. Service was prompt and food was delicious. Will Return next Saturday for some Balle Balle ;)
I absolutely love the dosa, masala papad ,and food in general. The staff is extremely friendly at bar or done in area. It's one of my favourite places to just hang out with my frndz in Mississauga. We often go for drinks or food. My father also loves visiting with his friends . So basically it caters to all ages , and all cultures. My friends , family and relatives all love the place . Very casual wooden table, no table cloth, loud music. Food is pricey compared to Indian restaurants in Mississauga. Washroom had no soap. Food is very average.They have the worst naan in the universe, chewy and almost like leather.While other Indian restaurants offer Masala papad for free or $1 here it was $5.Many better options , i would not repeat.
My wife and I ate here last night. I expected a traditional Indian restaurant atmosphere, but was pleasantly surprised. The bar like atmosphere is very modern and hip. Tvs on the walls, popular beers on tap, etc... the food was great and reasonably priced. I wouldHave liked there to be a combo plate, but everything is purchased a la carte.
The food was good. Enjoyed the Dosa . Had the Rava Dosa, which was good not very authentic. But still really good. Good place to go with friends for a night out . Best part this is place is open late unlike all the other Indian restaurants in the neighbourhood.

Interesting mix between a South Asian restuarant and a local pub. Must try the Dosa (egg/cheese) my favorite. Wonderful butter chicken and garlic naan. The chili chicken dry is a must.
