Deuce Lounge, I won’t recommend it to friends and family. The music/vibe there is FULL on REPEATEDLY Ampiano and Nigerian cultural music. It gets frustrating as you require other types of music genres. I came with my sis and cousin and it was not our vibe, I highly doubt we will be back at the venue. Others may disagree with my review however I prefer an event that switches up the music with afrobeats, bashment, Soca, RnB etc. Eventually we started to get tired and annoyed with the constant Nigerian cultural music and Ampiano because at some point we found ourselves sitting down. Thank Goodness we didn’t pay £20 at the door! Would have been a waste of money to be honest.
During my recent outing to Deuces Lounge for an event, my friend and I were taken aback by the behavior of the female security guard at the entrance. She was seriously rude, and we couldn't figure out why since we hadn't even done anything. The way she gave us dirty looks and made snide remarks to her colleague was just bizarre. It would be great if the lounge could hire staff who are more friendly and have better customer service skills. These kinds of encounters really stick with customers and can affect their overall experience.
My experience at Deuces Lounge was utterly disappointing due to the incredibly rude and passive-aggressive behavior of one staff member, particularly the black lady at the entrance. Her nastiness and unwarranted hostility made me feel incredibly uncomfortable throughout my visit. It's a shame that such unprofessionalism tainted what could have been an enjoyable night out. I strongly advise against visiting Deuces Lounge unless you're prepared to endure unnecessary rudeness and unpleasantness from the staff.
Support black business, they always say. But our black business owners don’t give you reasons for you to support their businesses. It doesn’t take a lot to be nice to your customers, it feels nice to be nice especially when someone pay you to your establishment. Heard so many good things about this lounge. Decided to give it a try with a few friends and we had the most fun night out. Very accommodating and attentive staff. Great drinks selection and the music was top tier the whole night. Home of the Afrobeats!!
A member of security was nasty towards for no reason and fully proved negative black stereotypes! As a black woman myself, it was a shame to see another black woman be so horrible, rude and aggressive towards me for no reason whatsoever!!
My friends and I had so much fun at the Duece lounge on Saturday night, the tickets cost £10 but I think that’s because they were celebrating sth. If not it would have been £20. If you’re looking for Afrobeats club, this is the one!
They (Barking Town in general) should make this a nice cocktail bar and try and bring in the English crowd, hipsters ect Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Decent place if you're local and want to enjoy some afrobeats. The venue could do with some refurbishment though
