My last few visits have been really disappointing... What has happened to this once great place, that used to be a sophisticated step above much of the mediocre offerings on Chapel????I was embarrassed to have told my sister how great it was as I used to be a regular for their wine tastings, despite being dead they don't even bother putting these on. We ordered their much advertised $5 paella, it was literally 3 spoons so no surprises we had to order more. The saganaki was 1 piece and the calamari tough and again a really scabby serve. We´ve just lived in Spain for 3 years. But even so, we went with low expectations. And still we were disappointed. The bad tempered owner ruined the atmosphere by stomping around the restaurant telling his staff how not to do things in a loud voice (and not in the cool Mediterranean macho way), but whilst not taking care of his guests - which is his primary role! A great Negroni was the best part of the meal. Food very average, oily, tasteless and with silly names (how can you describe a deep-fried goat´s cheese ball as tortilla?!). We ordered 2 different wines - they´d sold out of one and only had half a bottle left of the other. These guys have missed the mark fairly definitely...
Awesome Sandwiches and delicious coffee, the view at the street is also nice if you like to watch at people. Nothing more to say can absolutely recommend it.
Gorgeous, quiet, backstreet cafe with amazing food at a fantastic price. The bread would be better if it was sourdough but everything else is perfect. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
