Atmosphere and donuts are the winners.Espresso is astringent. Acidic and bitter. Drying on the tongue. Guess is they’re over extracting a light roast. Perfectly serviceable with flavoured syrups and dairy.I did specifically order an espresso. Served with a spoon and sparkling water as a pallet cleanser.Ordered a Yonni donut. Excellent. At $4.50 it might be the most expensive single donut I’ve ever had but it earns the price. It is a really good donut. Served on a warmed plate which was a nice touch.Napkins are quality. Friendly service, great space, and my cappuccino was not bad. Good, but nothing special.Unfortunately, the rest of the experience here was a miss. I ordered the coffee to go and it came in a glass cup that I had to pour into a to go cup. I also ordered two donuts, which I had to remind the barista about twice. I finally got handed two bags, and got home to discover that she’d grabbed one donut and one muffin, neither one the correct pastry that I’d ordered. Didn’t find that out until I was back home and too late to do anything about it. Seems that better order communication between the baristas here would fix their issues if they got orders correct, everything else would be worth stopping in...
Plenty of outdoor and indoor seating, so mix it up. The corridor and cappuccino were both delicious and were served with tonic water. This location also has doughnuts, which we did not try. Incredible coffee and fantastic doughnuts! This location has a unique and bright ambiance, featuring large windows and plenty of outdoor seating.
