Ok, we are an older couple and we wanted to try out this place. The place was buzzing, tables very close to each other, so not very private. The staff seemed to be having fun amongst themselves, but the service was attentive. We ordered the Bacon and eggs, which too me was nothing special and straight forward no dressing up, could do the same at home, and the special, Mexican omelette, which was very tasty and very nicely presented. Bottle water was put on the table, but glasses had just been washed so the water was very warm, we asked for ice and it disappeared in seconds. Coffee average. The prices were on the high side ended up costing us $36.00 for two for breakfast. Other places around...
If you're thinking of Saturday or Sunday brunch be prepared to line up and wait - this is a popular cafe in Bentleigh after 10.30am. It is WELL worth the wait if its packed out when you arrive. The service is great and the staff friendly. The menu has a 'twist' and so this is a great place to experience your favourite dishes, with a difference. The salmon wraps are amazing, as is the crispy pork and egg. Prices are mid range. Freshly squeezed juice and the smoothies are great, as is the coffee.Definitely put this place on your cafe list.
Travelled to Bentleigh to try this as recommended by a friend. While a little further than our normal drive we were not disappointed. Great service, Maling road coffee (always good) and a great menu with service that was both helpful and attentive.Hotcakes were delicious and so light. Generous portions and nice and bright venue. Call in if you are passing or just travel that little bit further if you are inclined. You won't be disappointed.
Visited this local that had been recommended to us, and was quite surprised by the expensive prices, especially for juices. They didn't qualify the $8 price tag as they were served in a smallish glass and didn't seem to be that authentic.The food was nice and the 4 of us all enjoyed it, but again a bit too pricey for what you got. Started life with a bang a few years ago but is feeling a little tired these days. Coffee is still good but meal offerings have stayed limited. Could do with some freshening up. Staff friendly and attentive.
These guys do a wonderful job of making outstanding coffee. It's a super well rounded venue, with an excellent menu and without any pretentiousness that you often find elsewhere.
Just love visiting here. Staff consistently happy group, great coffee and great food. Easy to walk from centre road and public transport

I ordered a sandwich takeaway. Good but not $16 good. No extras. Nice quality but need to know your market/price.
