Did not have a great experience here. We came in for lunch and noticed right away our server (was a male, didn’t get a name) was a bit cold/had an attitude, but we didn’t mind or pay attention to that initially. My partner order the Cesar Burger and enjoyed it, I ordered their District Sandwich and when it came it was slathered in mayo/aioli. I didn’t remember seeing that ingredient in the description of the sandwich, and unfortunately the amount of Mayo made the sandwich inedible for me. We ventured here a bit hung over and in search of some delicious food. The restaurant appears quite small and modern from the outside. Once inside we were greeted by a really sweet woman and seated without a reservation. It was around 12 on a Sunday. To our surprise there’s a little hallway that leads you through to more tables and another large room. We sat at one of the small tables with a window looking into a beautiful courtyard. Tiny restaurant serving vegan versions of hotdogs, burgers and other comfort food. The meat , seemingly made of tofu, tasted bland. To give the hotdogs some taste, they we 're covered in a hotchpotch of unappetizing sauces. The chicken nuggets were dry and earthy, almost inedible without dip. Both the Cheddar and Cabrales cheeses had nothing to do with the real thing. Overall, our dinner at Distrito Vegano was a mediocre culinary experience. This is the place to go for vegan dirty food, it is most definitely not healthy Possibly, it's the place all hungover vegans dream of! Saying that, I think there were a couple of salad options on the menu, but I think you should definitely try the burgers and hot dogs. Service is great, prices are very reasonable. It's a small place, so either book in advance or be prepared to wait for a table. Portions are generous. On Saturdays there are a range of tortillas; I would recommend the cheese one. Death by burger was fantastic too! There's also a nice range of craft beers.
Fantastic place in the centre of Madrid with a surprising menu and great service. The Vacalao is unbelievable, and the croquetas are otherworldly. Also, the place has a great vibe, it's nicely decorated and lively but quiet. I recommend it without a doubt!
Best vegan experience ever! The restaurant's atmosphere is cosy and warm, the staff is great, we were served by Skyl and he was very kind and helpful. We recomend the Korean Ramen and the Encheesladas.
This is up there with the best vegan I have eaten. The dishes were filled with flavour and not far off from their meat counterparts.
