Aw I hate to do this but they need to know. I've been coming here a while and was craving fish and chips. Ordered take out. Batter was different from what I remember. Absolutely no seasoning, there was no salt in the batter? Batter was soggy and wet. and I was eating on the way home, right after I ordered) and they gave like 5 waffle fries that tasted like they had frost bite. I used to work as a cook. Way cheaper just to make your own. And way better too! And they gave like a tablespoon amount of coleslaw, which is actually really good. Prices went way up, quality down, portions down. The food was traditional southern food. As someone who was born and raised in the south, I miss good southern restaurant style BBQ. This is a little slice of home in Hawai'i. The food was great, large portions and reasonably priced. Creative menu and knowledge staff. The Mai Tai was amazing, too and perfect to share. We got 2 full meals, an extra side, 2 drinks (including the large Mai Tai) and dessert for $80 +tip for the great service. We found this place because they advertised happy hour so we decided to drop in, the food was delicious we ordered peel and eat shrimp this is a must try, as well as the fried crab stuffed deviled eggs amazing. Good price for a 32 oz draft beer. The reason I didn't give it a 5 star , was because they put the oysters on the happy hour special but they're regular price?? and they were very small for the price! Our server was great! I would definitely come back but wouldn't order the oysters. Parking: Easy and plenty of safe parking.
Absolutely not, I would not recommend. I ordered the 3 meat plate consist of brisket, pull pork and sausage with a side of coleslaw and mashed potatoes. The Brisket and Pork was so/so 3 star out of 5. The sausage was extremely dry and chewy 1 star out of 5 and coleslaw was spoiled -0 star out of 5 the only decent one was the mashed potatoes 4 star out of 5. Server was not great. I went here for dinner Sunday around 6 pm. I ordered the fish and chips. I received my cod and wavy fries but the cod was definitely sitting in oil for a bit because you can tell and the ends were very crispy. As soon as the fries cooled off they were very hard. Unfortunately, I did not enjoy my meal at all this time. The waitress was very friendly and attentive.
This place has the best crab cobb salad I've ever had! I wish they bring back their shrimp gumbo one of these days. My family loves to eat their trash can buffet ordered it over the weekend. Highly recommend it!
