Been travelling to Blackpool for over 20 years just to visit Dixieland because we have always loved the Combo meals. They used to be around £4.50; before lockdown went to £5.50 and then £6.00. We went around 3 weeks ago and the meals were £6.50. We went this week and they were £7.50 !! Wow what an increase for a meal that was awful this time. The chickens had no meat on, definitely not the quality we always used to get and the chips were rock hard. No more Dixieland, unfortunately.
I ordered food from this restaurant on 28/02/2022 and not only did it arrive missing some items, but when I called them, they informed me that it would take over an hour to deliver the rest of my order. They also refused to replace the items that arrived cold, only offering to give me extra food instead. I was extremely disappointed and found the food to be very unappetizing. I will not be ordering from this place again.
I placed an order through Just Eat and the food arrived about 15 minutes early. That was the only positive aspect of the experience. The ribs were overcooked and dry, and seemed like they should have been thrown out the day before. I ended up throwing the whole meal away, so it was a waste of money. Overall, it was a terrible place to order from and I wonder what health and safety regulations would say about it.
What an incredible experience, from the moment I went, I was greeted to a warm welcome, an employee even offered to take my coat before I sit down. I can only say the ribs were as fresh as a newly born baby. The only drawback was that I had caught the staff who used the chips to spit saliva in the frit and smiled at me afterwards. Well, what can I say, I havnt had dixy in years reason, I was set by him because it greasy, so I thought I would treat myself for my birthday, I am so glad that I was back intimate when we first had it so beautiful Coleslaw exactly the same best I ever tasted chips were a bit dry but the chicken nice I'll be back well ordered guys xx
Chicken good but cannot cook a frie always undercooked complained many times b4 about this and still no change don't order tbh carnt cook a friend properly tbh
Ordered chips and gravy (pregnancy craving) chips was way undercooked and well what can I say about gravy might aswell of just put water on the chips
I threw away everything because it smelled like burnt fishy grease, the chips were reheated, and the ribs were spoiled. I will never go back again. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
So much better than kfc. More taste and everything very hot. We ate in. Will be on my list of favorites when we next visit Blackpool.
