As an Italian raised kid who has always stayed loyal to a pizzeria I would take a slice from D’matteos any time and day. There is a beautiful combination of ingredients that allows for the ability to make a crispy or soft slice depending on your preference, and most importantly the selection of toppings is unmatched and the quality of them is of the highest. Also, the balancing of the toppings is perfect to ensure you don’t feel too full to get through a slice but it also isn’t too little to where you don’t feel satisfied after eating. The Italian authenticity is exquisite and I will absolutely continue to support this family run pizzeria.
When we order for parties, everyone raves about the pizza, but when we get a pie for dinner, it's not as good. I'm not sure why that is. One of the staff members was careless when informing me that a menu item didn't contain my son's allergens. Thankfully, I asked to speak with someone else and found out that it actually did have the allergen. It's crucial that they check the ingredients before answering questions about allergens, as this could have seriously harmed my 3-year-old. As a result, I no longer allow him to eat here, and it has really left me frustrated.
I had an excellent meal of fresh, quick penny vodka with chicken that was absolutely delicious. The sauce was flavorful, and the chicken was tender and juicy. The eggplant roll was bursting with delicious flavor and was perfectly moist. I will definitely order this again—it's hard to believe I didn't know about this place before!
omg this was the best penne alla vodka i've ever had and it was vegan which many see as less tasteful but i was blown away! so many vegan options as well! definitely eating here again
