We found this place by accident last week. We had a drink at the beach bar and then decided to eat lunch. The bar drinks were great and the service too. Since we had plans for dinner, we decided to have a light lunch and wine. I guess that was a mistake. They probably decided we we were trying to save money. When we tried to make a reservation for lunch two days later, they told us they could not have tables for less than 6 people on the terrace. So, they reserved a table outside on the “Cabo Verde” area. We we got there, the table was in the sun and there were several tables for 4 on the covered terrace. We told the hostess that we didn’t want to sit in the sun, she said we could sit inside...
The restaurant is located at what seems to be the end of the world, right on the beach, at the end of a country road. The view is beautiful, the restaurant is comfortable, offering inside and outside sitting arrangements, the decor is sober but attractive. Clients go straight to the glass counter to chose the fish or seafood they want to eat. The service is pleasant and efficient. The food is fresh and delicious. A nice place to enjoy with friends or family.
One of the many beautiful beaches of Portugal. O Bar do Peixe is an excellent restaurant. The fish and seafood is so fresh and has a good taste. I often go to this restaurant for the good food it offers and the friendliness and warmth that the owners and the crew give us. I miss this lovely place a lot. Best wichs
the margarita cocktail was the best I ever had. they can even take the drink in a plastic cup and sit on the beach in front of the bar and watch the sea. eating was okay, but nothing spectacular for the price. the thunfish tasted somewhat strange, he had very strong fishy smell. Conheço este restaurante a muitos anos…. Se não fosse o por do Sol e a vista mar …. Nada justificaria valores tão altos … 98€ 3 sangrias …. Sem falar do tempo de espera muita pena ter chegado a de tal extremas … boa estação para vocês
This is my first visit to Bar do Peixe in the lovely beach of Aldeia do Meco. It has been an outstanding experience. Superb location, food and quality of service. Really outstanding. I strongly recommend
great food and atmosphere. quality is great, therefore the prices are somewhat higher than the rest of the algarve, but in any case stop by a nice lunch on the beach!
