Fantastic wee hidden gem here. I gifted an afternoon tea for a friend and she invited me to join her. The staff were amazing very helpful from start to finish made sure we were well attended to. Our afternoon tea consisted of 4 sandwiches each of our choice of fillings and an abundance of small cakes and a wee fruit scone with butter cream and jam and a beautiful cream merangue each. All were very good and as much coffee and tea as we needed. After our tea we had a wander around the garden center and gift shop. We visited this place on the way home down the M80, just 5 minutes of the motorway. Really nice food. Lovely relaxed atmosphere. My partner ordered the burger (not my bag) I had a taste and it was the best burger I've ever tried. He was so full eating the scrumptious chunky chips he was determined to get the burger in but he was defeated he had to leave the lovely toasted bun. I had the potato skins topped with bacon cheese and mozzarella with a garlic dip. Soooo good. I wanted one of the amazing cakes on display but I couldn't fit one in as the main portions we ate are so generous. Will most definitely be visiting again when up that end of the country.
Lovely day at the garden centre out of the torrential rain. Beautiful, tasty, well presented afternoon tea with my mum and a lovely lunch for my 10 Yr old son. Very enjoyable will definitely recommend and will be purchasing gift vouchers for afternoon tea for family to try. We'll done and thank you.
Great place to eat. Food is fantastic, and you can't leave without trying one of their amazing cakes. My favourite is definitely the meringues they are huge! You can eat before or after you have a browse around the gift shop and garden centre. They have some beautiful gifts.
Lovely garden centre with lots of great gifts and healthy plants. Had lunch in the cafe and it was delicious. Had soup and sandwiches, coffee and cakes. Staff very attentive and friendly. Shame we aren't local or we would be back on a regular basis
This was the first time I had been here since its change of ownership. I frequent my local Caulders as well as the one in Kirkintilloch. This was on par with both. The food in the restaurant was lovely .
Had to cooed staff on how healthy their plants looked. Nice winter baskets for £10 and a lovely Christmas Section. Would recommend a visit. Less than 30 minutes from Glasgow
Calder's is the best place to go for lunch etc, staff are all lovely and well trained! The shop is fab also!! Our first time there and was well impressed!!
