I had high expectations from the beautiful Facebook pictures, so maybe this review is a bit biased. The food was decent, but the service was terrible. It was really slow, possibly due to the waiter constantly eating or stepping outside for a smoke. What was most annoying was the fact that we were charged £45 for a fish platter each, plus a main course, and an additional £2 for a small dish of tartare sauce. I believe tartare sauce should be complimentary when spending that much on a main course!
Meal for 4 persons! Incompetent staff. Very overpriced! Pre ordered a seafood platter+ 1 lobster for 3 persons—— it was barely enough for 2 persons! Also ordered cod chips which came 10 mins after seafood dish but was very over cooked (burnt) so was plonked on table saying we wouldn’t be charged!— it should never have been served!!!! Small lobster for £65, no plates for shells , no table service for drinks. Absolute rip off. Charged £157.35 we were still hungry! Absolute disgrace!
I went to this restaurant for Sunday lunch today and I have to say it was the best meal I've had in years. The pork was cooked perfectly and there was a nice variety of vegetables, including roasted carrot and leek which was a pleasant change. The meal was topped off with a delicious Yorkshire pudding. The price was also reasonable considering the current economic climate. Thank you, we will definitely be returning!
My family and I went to this restaurant last week, including our toddler. Two of us ordered the lamb, while the other two ordered the beef. Both dishes were amazing, served with mashed potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes, a variety of vegetables, and plenty of gravy. Everyone enjoyed their meal, and the staff were fantastic. We will definitely be returning soon.

I've come in a few times, I've been served by Dean and gabby and they were absolutely amazing. and the last time I was in which was Wednesday I was served by a lass with dark hair, think her name was hayley. she was amazing and made my experience even better. She's an absolute credit to you! Beautiful food and amazing drinks
We went for dinner and really enjoyed the food and the service. We ordered the sharing platter with 3 meals and 2 sides. Didn’t look like a lot of food when it arrived but was actually ample. All really tasty and well cooked and served in a timely manner. Thoroughly enjoyed
We went for steak night we had heard so many good reviews : but unfortunately we were highly dissapointed. The steak was full of fat . Chips greasy and onion rings swimming in grease . Very disappointing we won't be recommending or coming back :
There is loads of choice on the fish quay so I would steer well clear of the miserable staff who seem like it’s too much trouble to bother with actual customers.

We had three sunday lunches all excellent. waitress was lovely, very friendly.absolitly no complaints will definitely be going back.
