A drive through place for hot dogs. Who knew? <br/ <br/ Situated along Orrong Road leading up to the freeway, it's a place probably familiar to most south side people who have business up north as the only drive through around for a considerable stretch. As her car had broken down, I was sending her, and we popped in a bit of a rush. I drive past this cafe on the daily and it's taken me a LONG time to actually stop in! E and I popped in for lunch today and I was very surprised. The menu is teeny bit man they make a great hotdog! There are a few options to choose from and I went with the American USA style snag on a soft fresh bun with crisp onion and my choice of condiments. I added pickles because YES. I love pickle. The meal was simple but perfectly executed. Better than a Bunnings sausage sizzle any day (and that's a huge call). At first I didn't know what this drive through on Oorong Road was but I'm so glad I've finally ventured to it!<br/ <br/ The doughnuts are always fresh and even as you enter the drive through, you can smell the aroma of the fried dough. The doughnuts are fluffy and not too heavy. The ones with icing are given a generous coat of either caramel, strawberry and chocolate. The filled doughnuts are generously filled to ensure that if you're sharing, both halves still have a satisfying amount of cream/filling.<br/ <br/ I have to recommend anyone going into the city along the way to give it a go. Have been coming here on and off for years, great hot dogs (Red Ned sauce and onion) with a toasted bun and you can't go wrong. Drive thru is easy. Wish they had more locations (closer to Fremantle) however then you'd probably lose the authenticity. Finally got the chance to pop into the doghouse today and wasn't disappointed. As they have a small menu My partner and I were able to order everything off their hotdog menu which came to 2 hotdogs each, good snags with a range of sauces and extras. 2 thumbs up bras
Great hot dogs, my favourite being the Vienna with bacon and cheese. Unlimited toppings/condiments add to the experience and you can really load your dog up for extra punch.<br/ <br/ Doughnuts are also tasty, well worth checking out.
I've been here a few times now and I always go there for the chilli cheese kransky, it never disappoints. Love how the doughnuts are fresh. If milkshakes were added onto the menu it would be 5/5
these guys do only 3 things, but they do these three things very well, Solid Coffee, superior donuts to the overly hyped krispee kremes and in my opinion the best hotdog you can get in town Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Nice hotdogs good for a quick lunch and tasty. Fairly priced. The girl with the red hair and red nail polish behind the counter was very nice. Good biggens on her.
