We have eaten in many top establishments and paid high prices so to do; sadly both the top restaurant here and the other called La Plage are not great. La Plage is by the pool overlooking the vineyard and the set menu for fitness was...not bad; but, they could not make a kir cassis vin blanc properly (we are in France folks we have never encountered this after years of travelling in France), service was very slow; they took an order for a discontinued wine from us and for a different wine from some Americans seated nearby and only told us and the US party they did not have the wine as the food arrived I could go on but you get the picture. Their estate wine is very average. Nowhere near top...
We had a table booked two weeks in advance for a birthday party. When we arrived table was not ready, we waited 15 minutes to get showed a table, which was outside. It was cold however when we asked for heater we were completely ignored....We sat at the table and had champagne and snacks which were good, but it was freakishly cold and we saw that people who arrived much later were served a heater while we were not. When we asked why we got very rude response from the waiter. When we went to the bathroom our table was given to other people! Bottom line: poorest service i've ever seen not at all worthy 5 stars. Don't go there! Restaurant is also too expensive for what it is. Never again!
The facilities are clean, well-lighted, and airy, and there was a steady flow of traffic in and out it seems reasonably popular all good signs. But the service was some a bit too breezy neither rude not invasive, but also not attentive or particularly helpful. Our selections were...good, but nothing special. From what we had read and the recommendation we received, we were ready to be impressed. Perhaps that was the major problem; coming in with expectations that were too high. Overall, not a bad choice and conveniently located on the grounds.
Visitor to the region , we telephoned to reserve a lunch near the swimming pool.. The personel informed us to come directly to the hotel in order to do this. We arrived after driving some time only to to be informed the swimming pool and lunch was complete.Leaving around midday we did not have the impression the swimming pool nor the restaurant was complete.! Now living in the area we are not ready to return t..Very dissappointed by the lack of iniatiative of the staff.especially for a relais chateau 5 etoiles!!!

When you have booked a table at a Gourmet restaurant, you have certain expectations. I didn't feel this was the Gourmet experience, because more than the work done in the kitchen counts. The staff wasn't observant or had control. We had unfortunately to leave the...restaurant because they spent way too long time between each serving. Sorry to say that this was OK, but not good.
The place is absolutely gorgeous. The spa is perfectly clean, staff is welcoming. Massages cost around 130€. The brunch is INCREDIBLE and with a fab view (brunch and sun beds for 2 = 160€) You can then access a swimming pool. A must-try if you ever go to Montpellier!
We did not have time to eat outside, so we had a dinner at hotel restaurant. Good quality authentic French food with local wine, great service. What else do you need? And you do not have to drive when you drunk.
Luxury restaurant that is expensive, but it is worth eating very tasty that made me drown. I will definitely recommend that you pay about 80 euros in a large meal for whom you can afford.
