Het uitzicht vanaf het gezellige terras beloofde veel goeds. Maar de ober schudde vertwijfeld zijn hoofd toen wijn naar de herkomst van de huiswijn. Hij had absoluut geen idee. Een van de voorgerechten (Foie gras)was prima, maar daar kan je natuurlijk weinig aan verknoeien. Het tweede voorgerecht, risotto met paddestoelen, smaakte zurig. Het stukje varkensvlees (hoofdgerecht 1) bestond voor 75% uit blubberig vet. Mijn partner heeft nog een poging gewaagd. Ik had het beslist teruggestuurd. Mijn stukje kabeljauw was gortdroog en smakeloos. Waarschijnlijk kwam het uit de vriezer. Te lang gegaard was het beslist. Van een dessert zagen we liever af. De ober stelde voor om het restant wijn dan maa...

We were very nicely received, the warm setting. a pretty young Russian woman, has the delicious accent reserved us a careful and attentive welcome. the meal was a moment of shared pleasures, everything was delicious, thanks to the brigade and its chef, waitress and hotel master. You give the best of you. ps I love your risotto but maybe a little more cooking, just a little more it was a little bit al dente! Nothing bad. Certainly we will return, our Belgian friends, very gourmet too! ah yes bravo for the lamb plate that I strongly advise, not to mention the "Cheese plate" .our passionate little constance of horse riding adored your decor...
Many thanks to Pascale, Ivan and all your team for yet another wonderful stay at Domaine du Chatelard. We had a wonderful overnight stay with drinks on the terrace, followed by an excellent dinner, it was a great way to celebrate my birthday, we cannot think of anywhere nicer that makes us feel so welcome and spoilt, including our little dog who loves the bed that is supplied for him. disappointment! We had already been there years ago and had been enchanted. This time, we had to scan our lunch without any help. We are elderly people) the reception was in an emergency because there was a world. The meal was disappointing. some flavors did not harm between them (chocolat and cepe) and we did not like. portions were small and prices were too high. the only consolation, a walk around the pond and a beautiful terrace.

we loved this restaurant a lot and we went there once or twice a year. the covid went there and we didn’t return there until this month of September.And there, disappointment. a charming Indian server but that forms on the pile and then starts bewildered and odd. a kitchen that got lost with a meat that was too salty, a sorbet that smells only the clove of cloves .the magic has disappeared, will she be back?
very disappointing at the gustative level (example panna cotta of small peas totally insipid - uncooked asparagus,.) quality of the presentation of the dishes, as well as of the service (example: bottle poorly marketed, carafé wine but without filtering it.) we had been so excited by this restaurant four years ago, the disappointment was all the more, while the prices did not diminish.
we enjoyed a wonderful day to rediscover this restaurant! always as nice reception, the kindness of the service staff and a kitchen with extraordinary flavors, creative dishes, we are in the top of the range of the gastronomy. Our friends who discovered this restaurant enjoyed a lot, they will return as soon as possible. After the meal, a walk around the lake was also very pleasant.
We had a great evening, the owner first of all proposed to take the aperitif on the terrace with a beautiful view of the water! The cocktail cognac pear is a little treat!
