Enchanting dinner on a hilltop edge terrace overlooking the forest and fields with views beyond to medieval Carcasssone and the brooding Pyrenees. Very slow service on what was obviously a very busy night. Heard lots of shouting from the kitchens during the meal. Would have still said the food was good but at the end of the meal we waited for over 30 minutes with more than...12 other diners to pay our bill. A total lack of service or organisation, then the young and very rude chef arrived and when we asked what was the problem he started shouting at us. Said he just worked there not his problem, then when we asked to talk to a person in charge,said it was his restaurant and he was in charge as he was a director. Became very aggressive.Not a restaurant to be recommended at all.
This is an excellent restaurant with a talented and creative young chef. The food is beautifully cooked, tastes divine and is very well presented. The restaurant has a lovely covered terrace overlooking the hills and forest; idyllic! We stayed at the adjacent hotel (wonderful too ..for two nights with a friend of ours giving us the chance to try the degustation menu and à la carte. Both meals were delicious. We will definitely be back soon! Highly recommended!
we were booked for the bastille at night, but it was canceled so that we went to the birthday party today. everything about this restaurant meets the place. perfect and friendly service and eating that was excellent in each course. we had the luck of traveling the world, but today's lunch was the best we ever had. excellent aromen, excellent presentation, excellent service, excellent presentation. We have eaten at Domaine Michaud many times, over many years, and always look forward to finding a culinary surprise … or a subtle twist on a favourite dish. Last night surpassed ALL our expectations. Amongst the four of us we tried pretty much everything...on the menu including a special vegetarian main course and there was not a single morsel left on anyones plate … extraordinary! We shall be returning very soon.
Went my my wife for Sunday lunch. The domain is located atop a beautiful hill, overlooking the Carcassonne area. The 3 course menu was amazingly delicious. Accord mets vin was perfect and made us discover great wines from the area. Service was very good, and...the owner was very nice. Will definitely go again next time we visit the region.
Took my wife for her birthday and we were blown away with the quality of the food. From the start with a Blanquette de Limoux looking over the Pyrenees to one side and La Cité to the other, through the fabulous 3 courses and cheese...an absolute gem of a find. Will gladly recommend to our gite guests and friends..
Fabulous food once again at La Perle restaurant at Domaine du Michaud. The young chef Sandor is a star in the making and every course and ingredient was faultless. The attraction of the Michaud setting in the hills above Carcassonne adds to the experience. Recommended...without reservation.
