Well worth driving out of your way for; these are the BEST SANDWICHES IN THE BOSTON AREA. I've been eating here since the mid-2000s. The fantastic house-made ciabatta is really what makes all their panini special (available crusty or soft, toasted or not). I wish they'd teach a baking class! Arguably the best restaurant in Waltham (which is saying a lot when you are comparing to fine-dining legend Il Capriccio). They have other Italian things like pizza, arancini, pasta, cannoli, cookies and soft drinks, but the sandwiches are the thing. I ordered the chicken parmesan with a side of rosemary and oil chips, along with a wild berry soda. The chips and soda were definitely the highlights of my meal. The chicken parmesan was just okay; it didn’t have much flavor. However, the ciabatta bread it was served on was soft and warm, which I really enjoyed. Unfortunately, the chicken itself was a bit bland. The restaurant is small, and I chose to sit at the barstools by the window. It's not suitable for large groups, but it works well for a small gathering or for takeout.
We often grab lunch from here. Why settle for fast food when you can enjoy fresh, homemade Italian cuisine? During the spring and summer, we occasionally dine at the outdoor tables, but most of the time we opt for takeout. They offer a fantastic variety, all made fresh in-house. Their bread and desserts are delightful as well. We've also used their catering service for pickup, which has been great. They also own Enzinos down the street, where you can find delicious pizza and other tasty offerings.
Twice now I have tried to go to Domenic's after checking to make sure they are open, and when I arrived they were closed. No sign, no notice of when they will be open again. While standing outside the door, multiple other customers came up and were also surprised by the fact that the lights were off and nobody was inside. Use love this place , sizes have gotten smaller , pizza is small , prices have gone up. Too many people working behind the counter, customer was trying to put her order in , no one was listening. Too confusing. Got eggplant parm very small almost a kids size , 10.99 if wants a regular size portion it would have been 24.99 . Unless there's a communication issue no seem to understand English or speak it .
Ordered Doms for an office lunch and everyone loved it. We had a variety of salads and sandwiches. The menu is on the pricier side for lunch but the food was really good. The Italian sub was good size and tasty. The online ordering makes things really easy to order ahead and not have to worry about waiting.
The eggplant parm is in a league of its own. Truly “last meal” worthy its that outstanding! Other food is also very good arancini, chicken parm, bread etc. Service is friendly and efficient. Worth going out of your way to get this food. Great for parties too.
