We were pleasantly surprised to discover this restaurant. Since we’re not from the area and were dropping off one of our daughters at CalArts, we were looking for a place to eat. We’re so glad we chose this spot! The service was excellent; our waiter Josue was attentive and provided great information and recommendations from the menu. I ordered the thin steak (#28 carne asada) and it was cooked to perfection. I really enjoyed the yellow corn tortillas, which tasted homemade—so delicious! My family and I had a wonderful experience at Don Cuco. We were visiting from Las Vegas and were in search of that classic Southern California Mexican restaurant, and Don Cuco did not disappoint! We appreciated the cozy layout of the booths, the service was excellent, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. We would happily return the next time we're in the area.
Amazing food, honestly the best I've ever tasted! The restaurant is incredibly well-run, and the staff makes you feel like part of the family. My parents, Ron and Diana Willis, have been visiting this place for years. We make the journey all the way from Columbus, Ohio, just to eat here. If you're in the area, you definitely need to stop by!
