Monesterio was about half way on our journey from the coast to Salamanca and wondered at first if anything was open in this sleepy provincial town. There’s a square with fountain on the right at the far end with parking. Not all cafes are open at this time of year but this was one of two in the far corner which were open. Most seating is on the terrace outside and it was pleasant sitting there soaking up the balmy winter sun. Buenas carnes ibéricas y buen jamón, el jamón era la etiqueta roja. También nos comimos un revuelto de boletus, pero nos gustó más la carne, ah! Y el salmorejo con jamón y huevo estaba también muy bueno. La camarera y camarero muy amable. Service: Dine in
Un alto en el viaje, comimos muy bien y nos atendieron de maravilla. Volveremos a visitarlo sin duda ya que nos sentimos como en casa y es una parada para reponer fuerzas para aquellos que viajamos.
