I just ordered aguadito and a side of fried rice. I always order the same at the Montgomery mall location and the silver spring location, but at this location (Bethesda) the food is horrible. Literally, not even a dog would eat what I was served. The aguadito was a container of water with a lot of cooked white rice and a spoon of cilantro paste, not even mixed! And the chaufa barely had any color and flavor. A waste of money! I will not order from this location ever again!
WARNING: Stay away from this restaurant. First off, I live extremely close and have tried to give this place the benefit of the doubt on multiple occasions. However, after my experience with Don Pollo today, I am recommending stay away. I am quite disappointed with the service at this restaurant. When I visited, I ordered half a dark chicken, but the cashier told me that they couldn’t fulfill that order, even though it was available for online ordering. As a paying customer, I should be able to order and receive what I want. Please address this issue with your front staff, as their behavior greatly influences how customers perceive your business.
The food was great. The side salad was not what I expected because the other places in Rockville and Briggs Chaney serve a salad with beet and non-green paprika. I've visited this place several times for takeout, and I have to say, the classic Peruvian chicken is fantastic. The staff is friendly, and the chicken is full of flavor. The prices are also quite reasonable.
I picked up grilled chicken a few times. The service is fast and the staff are nice. The chicken could benefit from a little bit more spices. I recommend this place.
