The food is absolutely fantastic and well worth a visit. However, I would advise against going later in the night. Our service from the front of house took a turn for the worse for two reasons. First, our server left without informing us that we had been assigned a new server, which wasn’t a huge issue but it would have been nice to be acknowledged for our business. Then, at 10:40, what appeared to be the restaurant's manager or supervisor approached us and announced that he would be "kicking everyone out at 11:00 PM." We spent $500 on our dinner, and we didn’t even receive a thank you or an offer for another drink. This is the second time we've experienced service that doesn’t match the qua...
I think this place would typically get 5 stars, but the service was not great the night we visited. Our waitress didn't check on us after our food arrived so I couldn't order more drinks. Two different servers came by after to help clear the table, fill our water, and get our bill.The food and drinks are very good though. This place looks like it packs a serious bar so that's no surprise. The only nitpick is that the brisket on our poutine was quite tough. Maybe they don't have a smoker or the portion we got was off. I'd still say the food is 5/5.
Sober Cat Drunken Ox:The cafe section of DOSC is amazing. It's got a super vibe and is busier than ever these days. Open space with antiquated furniture. It's a perfect partner to the steak house and bar. Service was good and the java is super. The only point I have to make is that since the restaurant is open later I wish the cafe would be too.DOSC (Brunch):Amazing offerings for brunch. I had no idea this was even open for brunch but now this will definitely be a go to spot downtown on the weekends. Love the hip vibe and the ultra chic decor.
This is such a charming place for brunch in downtown Edmonton! They're open from 10 am to 2:45 pm, and I really appreciate the gluten-free and vegetarian options available. The outdoor patio is delightful, too. I ordered the avocado benny ($21), and it was absolutely delicious and satisfying. The eggs were perfectly poached and served on a fluffy cruffle, and the hash browns were wonderfully crispy. The service was good, but just a heads-up: you'll need to pay inside the restaurant since the payment machines don't reach the patio.
Had a lovely anniversary dinner after a disastrous reservation at another restaurant. Server and front of house were nice, attentive and empathetic. Food was great. The brussel sprouts with the pancetta was amazing and the aged ribeye was cooked to perfection and consistent with what we had last time. The cocktails were to die for. This restaurant has not failed me ever and will definitely be back again in the near future.
This was our first visit to Dosc, and we really enjoyed the charming retro classic vibe of the place. The drinks were fantastic, though the food was good but not exceptional. The ribeye could have been a bit leaner, and the burger was slightly undercooked. The service was excellent, and our server, June, was wonderful! We'll definitely be returning, but we plan to explore a few other items on the menu next time.
This restaurant came highly recommended by locals, so I knew I had to give it a try. The atmosphere is lovely, complete with a great bar. There are plenty of fun drink options to match your mood. Everything on the menu looked incredible, but I chose the dry-aged ribeye, which was absolutely spectacular. It was cooked to perfection and well-seasoned. I definitely plan to return the next time I'm in Edmonton.
I had a wonderful dining experience at DOSC. The cheese bread is unmatched, the mushrooms are delicious, and the warm kale salad was a delightful surprise. For the main course, I had the steak, and we thoroughly enjoyed the high quality of the food. Additionally, the service staff were friendly and always spoke softly.
Ended up here for brunch by accident but happy I did. The menu isn’t long but the food was quite good, especially the cruffles. Drinks were very good as well. Service was friendly and nice atmosphere/decor. Prices a bit high but not prohibitive. Will definitely drop by for brunch again.
