We’re surprised by the size of the bread as appetizer, it served with tomato in olive oil and sprinkle of oregano (riganáta), they’re delicious maybe an entree will be too much after the bread. We had the belgian waffle, which is so crunchy and soft, even if you only eat the waffle, it’s already too good to be true! The Black Jack Burger was good, the fries instead was amazing! The shrimp spaghetti carbonara sauce was plain, you have to add salt and pepper to taste, even though the shrimp was excellent juicy and fresh. The restrooms was ok, spacious and clean. The dining room itself was newly decorated and look nicer than before. We’ll come back to check on the riganáta soon!
I came in on a Saturday night around 10:45pm, I ordered calf liver and onions with mac&cheese also steamed broccoli. Awesome.I sat at the bar. From the receptionist,staff my waiter, everyone was pleasant to me. The manager engaged with customer so well. I will surely be back and I will recommend EC Diner to my family and friends. Wonderful place to dine. Shout out to the owner who was not there. I heard he is a Ravens fan . Shout out to the Diner's longest employees, I didn't get her name, she spoke very highly of owner. 5star's Diner!!!!!!
Now we understand why this diner has such a great reputation. The food is delicious, served in generous portions, and the atmosphere is clean and pleasant. I deducted one star because my meal took a bit longer to arrive than expected. We also ordered mimosas, which were just average. However, the calves' liver was the best we've ever tasted, and the loaded burger fries were absolutely divine.
I was home taking care of some business and my sister says let's go eat...boy did we. The crabcake sandwich was delightful, the strawberry chocolate moose dessert was awesome. Everyone at the table enjoyed their food thoroughly. EC is definitely on my list when I go home for a great meal. If your in Ellicott City swing pass their friendly and helpful.

Very popular location with many options to choose from. I had the butchers paella which was very good. I was told the flaming hot Cheeto Burger was not that great. However, the milkshakes are gigantic works of art and there are many other delicious dessert choices. Make sure you bring a good appetite.

We come here all the time good atmosphere food is great and the dessert top tier the owner is a very professional and considerate man and he takes care of his customers we will always come back!
Even on a busy day like New Years Day...service was great and wait was not long. Food was delicious and Brownie milk shake was to die for.
