We had been looking forward to finally getting to eat here with the new owners and remodeling. When checking in to be seated, I advised the number of people in our party and that we had a service animal. The hostess said he doesn 't allow animals in, but you could sit outside. I said no service animals are protected under federal law. The hostess went to talk to him and came back and said he said no you can sit outside.... I told the hostess to let whi ever he/him know he just broke a federal law. It is hard to believe a business owner today has no clue! In short DON’T GO HERE if you need your service animal with!
Better off going to waffle house. Food is sub par. Waited 30 minutes for breakfast food while people while bigger tables that were seated after us were getting their food. Only go if you know the servers. In response to the owner... If orders were cooked in the order they were received I would not have written this review.
I had the pleasure of eating at this restaurant today. I ate with Aaron who is the son to the late owner, Mr Doug. The food, atmosphere, server and building was all 5 stars to me. I also met the new owner and he was a super nice guy. If you want some awesome Southern food...give this place a try. You won't regret it.
The remodel is nice. The food is still good. But the wait for food is horrendous. Don't think it's the servers either. Seems like the kitchen is just not good at getting food out. Been there twice since the remodel and the wait at the table after ordering isn't worth it. Not going back for a year or so. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
8/2024 Stopped for breakfast. This is definitely a local hangout, when the servers calls you by name and asks, your usual today or are you changing it up today? you know you 're in the right place. Food Service are top notch here.
The remodel they have done is fabulous!!! Great waitress! Great food! We really enjoyed the experience in every way! One of the things on my bucket list was to eat there. I was not disappointed. Thank you Doug's Place!
Great to be back after the remodeling. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was great. The building was also clean and comfortable
