My experience at this restaurant for dinner on a Thursday night was great. While the dining space was basic and not very inviting, the food and service more than made up for it. The menu had a great selection of our favorite dishes. The won ton soup and sesame prawns were delicious, the sweet and sour pork was very tasty, and the fried rice was also very good. The prices were reasonable as well. I am looking forward to returning to try other dishes from the menu.
We visited the Dragon Drum yesterday after we had made a booking at Ling Wah Hampton Park and they were actually closed. We fell upon Dragon Drum and were glad that we did. We had never been here before and the lady staff member was adorable. We believe it was a blessing in disguise. It has a cafe feel rather than restaurant, the food was nice and we had a mixture of meals and shared it between our table of 5. The best was the Rainbow Beef, very nice.
I ordered the Special Fried Rice, Sweet Sour Pork, Beef Black Bean and Chicken Sweet Corn Soup. It comfortably fed 4 adults. With our order, we also received Prawn Crackers. It was great. I love the flavours and the 15 min timing to have it all packed and ready to go for my take-out order. I prefer to order from here rather than from a food court. I'll definitely go back.
Try the wonton noodle soup, the broth is yummy AF! Also the honey chicken is tasty. The dragon drum fried rice is full of Asian flavour. They give free bag of prawn crackers for orders over $40. I have never had a disappointing meal at this restaurant. They offer a wide range of Chinese and Vietnamese dishes. I highly recommend trying the Dragon Drum Fried Rice, which is filled with all your favorite ingredients such as prawns, pork, and chicken. The food is always fresh, clean, and the staff is friendly.
I ordered takeout and didn't have to wait long. It was a Monday night, so many restaurants were closed. I was very impressed with the food, especially the lemon chicken which was delicious. The food was lovely and reasonably priced.
The food here is excellent.... Anyone coming from Kolkata INDIA will know what I'm talking about when I say it's the best Indo- Chinese food u can find in Melbourne. Loved the food and the service:
